Will we qualify for a bowl?

K State...just beat OU and they are our Kryptonite
    Iowa State - loss
    Baylor - loss
Tech - evenly matched, but their defense is much better

There's not a sure win left on the schedule.

Ok, our offense is better. Their defense is much better.

Yes, of course. All it takes is 6 wins. However, in all likelihood, we're looking at a second tier bowl game now.

I am correcting myself. Their defense is slightly better than ours. This may be our 6th win qualifying us for a bowl.

The Horns are definitely staring at 7-5 and maybe 6-6 with a crap bowl to end what was supposed to be an exciting year

That is beginning to look like a real possibility. Unless we turn over some kind of new leaf of consciousness, I think there's at least one more loss on our remaining schedule. I've seen one godless hack predicting a collision with aggy in the Texas Weedwhacker First Responder bowl brought to you by Carl's Junior, but my hope is that we can add to the long line of student athlete accomplishments, sublime traditions, and rich history of the Cheez It Bowl.

You look at Texas over there and it's just all about tradition and having orange cheese crumbs all over their fingers and wiping it on their burnt orange shirts. :hookem:

As mentioned, only need six, so, one win out of the next 4 games will get us there. Still too early to be speculating about playing in this or that bowl. Gotta get to 6W's first.

We weren't that good when we had our players. Tech has play-makers at WR, good RBs, and a QB that can throw and run. = LOSS

ISU has a QB who will dice up our secondary, and still has some play-makers. On the road = LOSS

KSU is a solid team that plays better defense than TCU. They beat OU= LOSS

Baylor on the road...Dear Lord this one will be ugly. They nearly beat us last year at DKR = Not just a loss, but a BEATDOWN

It may be time to find a past time until a wholesale coaching staff change occurs.

Herman's offense is predictable and ho-hum....Orlando will not dump the 3-3-5...

This is what I have been trying to get across. A lot of
people here seem to think when the injured starters return, we will magically improve. Why? No practice and game reps for several weeks and lousy technique will likely just cause re-injury.

as much as the defense irritates me this is worse. I honestly feel as though Herman and company have decided Sam will pull us through and have abandoned any creativity, thinking he can do it - maybe by sheer willpower. It really frustrates me to see those blasted outside ineffective screens. Even when the blocking is there our receiver runs INTO the tackler and does not ply off the blocker!!! I’ve watched it again and again.
But I have tickets to the Baylor game and I’ll be there regardless.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

I'm going to the KSU game and thought earlier this season this would be a-geme game. Now I'm worried about not only KSU but the other 3 games!

Perhaps, a bye week, some rest, a few starters return, some attitude adjustments and good game plan will translate into victory vs. the Mildcats - we will know better after that game what to expect the last 3 games....

Yeah, I've gone to a couple of U Arizona games since the stadium is within walking distance from the house. Not nearly the same as a Texas game day, but the fans are easy to get along with and not abusive. The wildcats did take it to Texas Tech when they came to town, that was fun. Pro ball is decent for my football fix. Funny thing is, I never see anyone in town wearing Cardinal gear, I mean nothing...no t shirts, no hats, nothing. I always tune in on Saturday's to watch the Horns and hope every week they clobber the other guys. In summary, I am a Longhorn, burnt orange blood in my veins and I'll always pull for my team whether in person or miles away, and whether the are undefeated or winless, because that's what we do. Doesn't mean we can't ***** about this or that afterward. That's our right as alums and fans.

Yeah.....I was a bit off on this one. Seems like I would learn to just keep quiet on predicting the future, but I fear I never will. :whiteflag:

This thread makes me want to watch highlights of all the 2019 games. It feels like forever since we’ve had football and normal life.

After LHN gets done showing "Longhorn Extra This Week" 84 times in a row, maybe they will get around to showing games from last year.

It's KSU day today, so the 2019 game from them is at 3 pm. But the rest of the week is full of just classic stuff... nothing else from last season. The 1994 OU game is on later this week. I don't think I've seen that one since the VHS replay after coming home from the game.

They show good stuff, don't get me wrong. But, when they get on a run of Longhorn Weekly, etc., over and over and over and...well, you get the point haha.

With nothing going on it must be hard to program.
