Here are who the Humidor sees as alternatives to the Bama Bros

Ezra Oyetade - Lakeview Centennial: ... we expect Texas to extend an offer to 247Sports’s top-rated center in their national rankings....

Mike Myslinski - Jacksonville (FL):... father was a 9-year NFL vet ... more likely to end up as the center ... Herb Hand has a pre-existing relationship with family.... under-rated 3-star. He’s a legit player, the type that ends up at Iowa before the NFL. Iowa is the greatest concern at this time. Myslinski recently toured Austin.

Connor Heffernan, Georgetown - BAYLOR: Texas likes the local product enough to put him in the ‘probably to get offered’ category tomorrow or sometime soon. He’s a good player, sort of in the Andrej Karic mold. He seems pretty solid but maybe Texas changes that.

Tate Williams, Wall - BAYLOR: He’s on the radar. He moves really well and would provide versatility, not dissimilar to Kerstetter. These Baylor commits seem pretty solid, though.

Erick Cade - Denton Braswell: UT is recruiting the giant project but he’s a wait-and-see type. He’s a developmental prospect and given they all are but we rarely write it, you can tell he’s a developmental prospect.

Cole Carson - Clarksville: ARKANSAS: The 6’6, 275-pound ... is a Arkansas pledge, but still listening to Texas +. An offer would definitely get his attention.

Jack Leyrer - Highland Park: UT is interested, but to what degree is undetermined..... plenty of schools want to see his senior year.

Kamron Scott - Converse Judson: ... Right now the biggest school recruiting him is FSU. He has tons of upside but might be a guard.

Albert Reese -Clearwater (FL): Reese is an interesting one ... the type of out-of-nowhere offer they could make. Big kid at 6-foot-7, 310 pounds. Baseline movement and bend is there, though he could be a right tackle. Shows some quickness. Interesting kid, kind of like Willie Tyler. He’s a move-in from Canada.

Now both Tommy and Blake liked this tweet
Picking a different school is one thing, trying to steal our QB at the same time is a pretty douchebag move

Yeah, I've thought about that and many other things for too long. I just can't get over the emotional attachments we see on such a hysterical and sometimes violent level.

I've had strong attachments to the Cowboys and the Longhorns. Now, I just enjoy a well played game. I still have a desire for my teams to win. But it's not even close to what it used to be. I've gone weeks and didn't bother to watch the Cowboys play. I got rid of my cable. Reading about it is good enough but now even that is a problem due to all the politics.

For me, it was an escape and the camaraderie of the fans. It's been taken away and (because I like to think I've grown up), I've become disgusted with the cheating and the gloating. I consider it to be beneath the emotional maturity to which I strive.

It's true. How can we conclude otherwise. I get wanting to play for Alabama. But Herman has no charisma or even a strong aroma of promise for the future of the program. We fired his two hand picked coordinators. Hand is starting to wilt.

Maybe there's something more to the story like the relationship of their father to the university. I don't know anything about that. But it sucks that the state school flagship university loses players of this caliber.

I assume this is not serious. A young man chooses to walk on to our program and earns a scholarship. Then you are going to take it away because of something his brothers did. I will write it again, lets see how this season (if there is one) and recruiting cycle turns out before we all jump off a cliff. As I remember, the team did quite well when Stoops out recruited Brown for the best running back in the state/country a few years back. A kid who supposedly had Earl Campbell posters on his walls his entire life or something like that.

Did he really earn that scholly or did we gift it to him as a way to appease his parents and entice his more talented younger brothers to come?

My question is, did the extortion effort of the BLM sympathizers affect their decision? We may never know but it would not surprise me at all. Their father — like most of us — could have watched it unfold, called bulls*** and told his sons that they might want to avoid the mess in Austin.

    Thanks once more Tom...

It doesn't make a ****. He is a scholarship member of what's left of the Texas Longhorn football team. Any attempt to change that will result in the culprit having to deal with me, and it will be the least pleasant experience of their life.

Herman has continually displayed a total absence of common sense, and no understanding of "The Texas Way". He totally humped the puppy on this one. I think it would be great if Texas played Alabama and all three brothers were captains.

NO. They have been leaning Bama for months. Their commitment simply closed the door on a sad state of recruiting blues where the Horns repeatedly have missed on home grown 5 star talent.

Sadly, we must lay this at the foot of the state of Texas football-- the decline that began the year after the Horns lost to Bama in the BCS final. When is the last time the team won 10 games before the bowl?

Additional note: The Brock twins were 6 years old in 2009. Basically they have been watching Bama win championships--or be in the championship game--their entire growing up. While seeing the horns struggle in mediocrity.

Yes. And no coach could be dumb enough to say otherwise. These two couldn’t give a sh-t about UT and it is probably the same for their Dad. But I have no idea where his head is....maybe hates Tom for giving out that scholarship.

Anyone remember your senior year in high school? Forward looking loyalties for playing sports were down on the list of priorities. These kids plan on winning a MNC. Perhaps they will. AD went to OU to win a MNC and to beat Texas. He beat Texas once, no MNC.

Texas needs to groom and grow big brother, build a winning team, hope to play Bama and beat them like they have 7 of the last 9 times. These boys are BAMA boys, maybe for life. I kind of like being a Texas boy. But that’s why we have a lot of flavors of ice cream. (Smart guys please fact check me)

In today’s environment any kid worth recruiting that gets a chance to go to Al is going to take it. They would be crazy or Sam type of loyal not to want to take that k8nd of opportunity. And I have to say that for kids to have Sam’s type of loyalty to Texas is only going to get more and more rare UNLESS we win like Al wins and for several years. Not even to mention that they do it in the vaunted SEC for crying out loud.
    Just how it is.

You mean the "vaunted $EC" where they only play 8 conference games and an FCS cupcake, that "vaunted $EC"?

That's an example of how to go from bad to worse. If we let 2022 Southlake Carroll QB Quinn Ewers (the #1 overall) got to ou, we might as well just roll up the entire program

The Bama depth chart at OT -- the 247 Composite rank is in blue - there is no distinction made for redshirts so its just their recruiting class year
Maybe Damien George will end up at TCU too?

Will either Brockermeyer Bro be starting by then?
Will either team have the same head coach?

This is from a poster on another site. I'm sharing because I think it may explain some of the Brock stuff if true ...

"Tommy Brockmeyer was never going to be the savior of Texas football. It's been clear that he was going to Bama for a while because his daddy wanted him to go there. Blake didn't like the honest assessment of James. It's also why Clemson went from the clear leader to completely out of it. They were going to Bama the day they scheduled 2 OVs to Bama in the summer when games weren't even scheduled. We'll see how it plays out for James in Tuscaloosa."

Royal had a saying that he used for all of his years. “The good apples don’t fall too far from the trees.”
These boys have a lot of football in front of them and at the next level mental toughness and other factors are critical. Unlike high school, nobody cares that your Dad was a local football hero. They will face competition unlike they have seen. The stars are in formation for greatness, but time will tell. Brown recruited some pretty good linemen who did not make it.

They do not want to play for Texas so good luck to them. They should not go to Texas because of Daddy. “The good apples do not fall too far from the trees“ is not all about athletic ability. In fact, I am not sure it had much at all to do with athletic ability. Go find some angry men for the trenches. Nasty ones, who have a burning desire to be a Longhorn.
