I'm posting this here because it seems in the vein of distortion by the Left.
In Austin, they Liberal city council has a new idea to make them look like humanitarians (virtue signaling at it's finest):

Now here are some REAL COMMENTS from a good friend of mine who lives on one of these streets:
"They say you can still park in the street but the space is limited now. Only local people, their friends and family, deliveries and trash trucks are allowed. Supposedly they have a group watching to make sure there aren't any people here that shouldn't be. Big Brother watching.
This is the second phase so I don't know who requested all this but everyone that lives here is having issues with it. We have a lot of people that come over to this area to walk their dogs and ride bikes and then they leave and don't have to live with the construction barriers. I think this will come to a head soon.
They list the streets online so we are getting more people. Some people have hit the barriers trying to knock them out of the way. The sand bags are all over the place. What a mess and there isn't a clean up crew. I had to put my barrels in the back yard because people were putting so much poop in them it was disgusting. Now people are leaving the poop bags at the edge of my driveway. My neighbors are having the same problems. So there will be a neighborhood meeting soon.
They won't deal with issues we are having in the neighborhood. Instead they created some more problems for us. I never heard of any of this until 4 pm Friday when they came out dropped the barriers and took off. I thought they were paving the streets until I walked one night and read all the signs they have posted. Some people are treating it like a block party so we have music and noise everywhere now."
This comment by my friend is reality. You can take it to the bank.
These "Healthy Streets" are classic Liberalism. Feel good legislation and then the online Fascists to beat down people like my friend who try to comment on the news chat sites. They only want to seem as if they are doing good. They have NO CARE for reality. Only their "goodness."
What I don't get about our Liberal friends here is how they think the Liberal things we object to are on the fringes. They are not. This is the Austin City Council and they do EXACTLY what Berkeley does. And they embraced BETO like you wouldn't believe. This is just another reason why Trump MUST WIN. The virtue signaling totalitarians will be unstoppable. They have media covering for them. They don't care about the true consequence of their virtue policies.
WE MUST DEFEAT THEM.
Where are the Democrats? Your failure to reign in the extremists is why Trump is President.
