NCAA to allow uniform patches for social causes

 

I have already emailed CDC, so he can pull a Deloss and say, "The input I'm getting is 98% against making our uniforms look like political NASCAR suits".

 

normal jerseys are busy enough, ugly even.

 

sadly we all know how this ends

 

I think each player should decide what cause he wants to put on his jersey. For instance, breast cancer awareness. That player could wear a completely pink outfit because that'll stop breast cancer in it's tracks. In fact, if it's known that any former UT benefactors that have their names on anything were not staunch supporters of stopping breast cancer, then dammit, tear that statue down, remove the plaque, etc etc. I thank and support the NCAA for this open forum on awareness/wokeness/"I'm awake?ness".....

How about using the patch instead for religious beliefs? LOL! I already know the answer to that.

 

It looks like I’ll be spending ALL my time at the ranch this Fall.

 

The NCAA just wanted to make sure I was done with college football. No worries, I already was.

 

Let a few put MAGA stickers on and they will stop this in a heart beat.
I was really struggling with whether I would watch college football ( especially Longhorn football ) again.....Looks like the NCAA has solved my dilemma. So tired of the b*******.

I'm NOT in favor of jersey patches for social justice, tires, car batteries, Internet sites, smart phone providers, insurance, food, beer, liquor, bordellos, or anything else!

I don't even like the patches for bowl games. We already got enough clutter on the uniforms and helmets with the damn Big XII logo, Nike slash, stickers, players names, etc. I'm 50/50 with TEXAS on the front of the jersey.....

 

I called CDC to tell him not to allow politics etc to clutter up our uniforms. It has no place in sports..Family on the back and school on the front is all that should be represented !!!!!!!!

But admit they now have my attention

 

Even the Canadian, European and Russian players showed the US flag more respect than most of our native-born NBA, NFL and MLB players

 

Frankly, it is a disgusting display of arrogance and hypocrisy. There is no way I will spend $.10 on any sporting event where this is on display. Nor, will there ever be a TV set turned to one of the games as long as this continues. The list of things I refuse to buy or in any way support with my purchases is growing daily.

 

Yeah, I am not sure ownership knows what they are doing and where this is all heading. Some of them are in leveraged positions and so you would think they would be desperately fighting against loss of market share, loss of TV ratings and loss of ticket/merchandise sales, but instead they are fighting for it. It makes no sense.

So if we decide to do this, who decides what patches go on the uniform? The coach, AD, players, regents, president, each individual player, etc.

 

I remember attending quite a few Japanese baseball games where they played our National Anthem + Japan's National Anthem. Both nations' flags flew at the stadiums. All players and fans stood and showed great respect. Some tried to sing along (imagine a bad karaoke night at some bar in Tokyo's Roppongi district around 1 a.m....).

 

Well, the emoji looks like Homer Simpson's bald yellow head. The meaning is frustration, a I give up, a sheezh Marge moment...
