He and his family are strong longhorn fans. We have a good chance for his services. Just win baby.
I'm not concerned about our QB situation I am more concerned about the offensive line. And I am concerned about the offensive line only in terms of getting the elite lineman.

Hoping the new OC will help stabilize the offense and that in turn will help the D. If the D we saw in the bowl game had been that way all year, we have 2 more wins at a minimum and also some additional experience for a backup QB besides the proverbial hand off to the RB. That does nothing for QB play or QB happiness.

Believe me, I want to believe, but I think I might have typed something like that 18 months ago (or so) about the lovely Longhorn-lovin' Brockermeyer family

Roach on ASU legacy Cole Hutson from Frisco
If there’s a guy on the offensive line I think the Texas staff is putting themselves in a good position with, it’s Frisco High School OL Cole Hutson. It’s still early and Hutson wants to take his time with the recruiting process, but Herb Hand and Texas are making an impact early. Hutson is a sharp kid with a fantastic frame and a desire to find an elite business school to attend. Texas fits that need well, and Hutson said his relationship with Herb Hand is going swimmingly so far. Texas A&M and Arizona State are schools to watch out for as well. Hutson’s father played baseball for the Sun Devils and he has a lot of family back in Arizona.

    Roach on Driver

"...The son of former NFL wide receiver Donald Driver, Cristian holds offers from all over the country. Texas is doing an excellent job with Driver spearheaded by efforts from Chris Ash and Jay Valai. He mentioned Penn State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma as other schools standing out at this point but he’s not anywhere close to making a decision. A talented safety, Driver can also play receiver and is interested in getting a look on offense at the next level. "

2022 OL Kam Dewberry is now 6' 4", 323 lbs with an 83" wingspan
He has posted a 4.97s shuttle, and 8.26 three-cone drill
Kind of feels like an OG although that is a good wingspan

" .... A four-star with 28 offers before his first junior snap, he loves the competition and the standard being set at Atascocita playing behind some of the best young linemen in the country. UT's Sam Cosmi and Texas A&M's Kenyon Green played before Dewberry and he maintains relationships with both. "I talk to those guys almost everyday," said Dewberry. "They give me pointers, they help me, and we workout together. It's just a really good relationship between all of us."

Dewberry plays tackle, but he also works on guard techniques and sets. He wants to be versatile and help out his team and future college program in any way. He wants to be different. From the recruiting side, his rating might've dropped, but the attention from colleges has not. "Texas, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, and LSU are recruiting me the hardest," Dewberry said. "Coach (Herb) Hand is really a smart guy. I've seen him develop Sam Cosmi from being a three-star, low recruit in high school to be a first-round pick next year. That's one thing that really stands out." ..."

Some stuff on ATH Emeka Megwa from Ft Worth Nolan Catholic

" ... Schools in contact with Megwa have been rather plentiful as he is one of the more offered 2022 recruits in the nation with 34. He mentioned Michigan, Texas A&M, Texas, Ohio State and Penn State as the schools he's been talking to the most. Texas running backs coach Stan Drayton has been handling his recruitment since the Longhorns offered back in May of 2019 and Megwa has pointed to their strong relationship as a reason why Texas finds themselves in a top grouping.

"We don't even really talk about football most of the time," Megwa said about his relationship with Drayton. "He's just trying to teach me more about football. It's always great, Texas is a great school."

Megwa has been to Texas multiple times and has been able to take away things from each visit.

"I haven't been to a game but it's always fun," Megwa said. "One time I went, they brought me to a pool party during the summer so that was fun. The campus is great and they're building stuff too." ..."

Bobby Taylor appears to be leaning ou now. Some think his NFL pedigree makes him somewhat overrated

Truth is, they never wanted to be here if they could get a ride on a bigger wagon. In that regard, Texas was lucky they did not sign. We need some hungry, self-confident, junkyard dogs who really are motivated to improve themselves in the classroom and on the field.

Brockermeyer boys missed that, and to a certain extent Connor Williams and definitely Kerstetter. Passing 5 Stars through your program to the NFL is merely not screwing up. To coach and develop 3 Stars OL unto NFL picks is development.

Brockermeyers should notice the picture on the wall in Alabama and remember it is 8-1-1 all time, Texas.

Tommy missed most all of his junior year and who knows where the 2020 season is heading. The injury is the type that doomed OT Tony Boselli (although poorly performed surgery made his worse). With Alabama's depth chart, hard to predict how and where his college career will go.

Wiltfong (247) thinks Texas leads for both 5-star WR Evan Stewart (Frisco) and top 100 WR Armani Winfield (Lewisville).
And of course 5-star WR Caleb Burton from Del Valle is right there as well (TFB says we are in it with him)
Thus, as of this moment in time, we are looking pretty great on 2022 WRs

We are still pursuing S Bryce Anderson eventhough he is committed to LSU. He is the #5 safety and #20 in Texas, per the 247 Composite.

"I've been training with P.J. Locke, who plays for the Broncos now, but we just started back up with the school two weeks ago. We've been getting it in. Before that, I've been going to the hill, sandpit workouts, field workouts and still lifting weights because the gyms were still open down there.”

On Texas -- “I’ve been talking to the DB coach. He’s a very pumped up guy. He’s always pumped up.” The message from Valai has been simple. He just wants Anderson to remain open and keep listening. “He’s been telling me to stay in contact with him and keep my doors open and keep listening to him.”
