That is the longest post I've ever seen you make, Moon.
It is a difficult issue and I struggle with the nuances and the very human side of this alot. I do think "they" are making some serious mistakes and I am quite sure the "other" side is, too. I do wish to be sensitive, hear them, and somehow exhibit what is a genuine concern and care for them and their lives. There are some serious disagreements in this country right now about explanations for problems we are facing and so it makes coming together for resolution difficult.
I find, on an individual, personal level, much can be accomplished... but we really struggle nationally. We can all do something every day, personally, one to one, to resolve divides... but, again.. when it becomes a federal, national, political or hot button cultural issue and is discussed or addressed on that level, well...you know.
Anyway, good post.
I will say... I am not black, but I know the values, beliefs and convictions I was raised with and they have nothing to do with color nor circumstances. There are very many blacks who were raised with those same beliefs and they are singing a much different tune than these protesters today...and they should be heard, too....but they arent the voices getting the attention...or the love. So do people really want all perspectives to be offered so we can find the truth together... or just push narratives?
