Lost 0-1. Not surprised. Probably undefeated against statues.

This is disgusting. These ladies are doing the right thing and as I saw someone say "speaking up for those who can no longer speak for themselves." Honestly if you don't like it then you don't have to watch or go to the game. Football will do the same thing tomorrow so again if you have a problem with it then you don't have to watch. I guarantee nobody will care.

Not at all. You saw everything I had to say. You Don't like what they are doing simply don't watch or go to the games. Or you can just go take your fake support to another team. Either way is fine with me and I'm sure the players would want the same. Like I said nobody would notice.

I must be ignorant and quite frankly i'm proud of that cause all of this is STUPID......Play the f&&%ing game your there to play. "your" voice means **** to me. I'm not here to ask your opinion on social issues. I'm here to watch MY alma mater play a sport(s) I love. If you want to voice your opinion do it on your time. NOT mine.

I bet somebody notices the donations stopping for those of us that are not supportive of a Marxist organization that promotes killing police officers.

That's just ignorant thinking. Jacob Johnson said so, and he's really smart, and not racist, like the rest of us.

Not once have you heard anyone say they promote killing police officers. That's the problem you all keep putting these completely false narratives without knowing what your talking about. You never heard anyone say they want police killed. I bet you think defund the police means completely get rid of them don't you?

Lmao did you really just send a video that was 5 years ago??? Also stop associating everyone under one category. Just like you all don't want people to associate a few bad cops with all cops the same rule applies here. Hypocrisy is a major problem with people who have the same mindset as you.

Yep, it’s called politics and it doesn’t need to be associated with UT athletics.

Then you should already know you can get $35 tickets for a game that has a mandatory 75,000 empty seats. Not much demand out there for a game that will clearly be politicized. I think they would appreciate your support.

You said “not once” which was a total lie. And anyone wanting to defund police departments will not get my support either. For the last three months, BLM has destroyed cities and attacked police due to the actions of one bad cop. In each case though, the victim was resisting arrest, had a weapon and/or was on drugs. As already pointed out, UT sports does not need to be in politics and it will cost them dearly. Has anyone suggest you sponsor HornFans?

Who are you to decide whether or not what should and shouldn't be associated with Texas? I don't understand how you support athletes when they are winning your team games but when it comes to real issues they deal with in their personal lives you all don't give a damn. These athletes don't owe you anything. They are human and have an opinion just like you do so why is it okay for you to be able to state yours but it's a problem when they state how they feel?

No one ,NO ONE, on here has ever objected to any player expressing their opinion.
Let them do it like all other students do it.

As a donating alumni of the university, I do have a say. I don’t like my university donation or state tax dollars supporting an openly racist organization that is destroying cities and threatening individuals and businesses.

I like your style, but it's just not going to fly on this board. The average WM poster falls in that 16% range of Americans who honestly believe that BLM is a terror org. And that Epoch Times and Washington Examiner should be considered mainstream media. They're further to the right than the "shut up and play" crowd.

I noticed that the stands were about 1/30th full. So there has been no drop off in attendance for these Mighty Title IX Warriors

But protesting against racial bias is ok----I doubt any of them think cop killing is a preferred method of rooting out atavistic prejudices

No one said that they couldn't state their opinions. Majority of us here highly encourage that from the youth of OUR University. But it has ZERO place in OUR athletics.
No kid on OUR football team that has a "protest" on the field to recognize one thing or another is not going make me stop and think, "wait a minute. Maybe I should worry about what they are talking about other than the game I was about to watch..." It's ridiculous and should be stopped.

Well sorry to inform you but it's not going anywhere. As long as these incidents continue to happen these athletes will continue to "protest" as you call it. How about you actually take the time to step in their shoes and see their perspective.

That's the thing though you don't have a say :( you may think you do but there are plenty of donating Alumni as I am one as well. You can say what you want and tell whoever you need to that you don't like what they are doing but what has that done? These athletes are doing the same thing that you don't want them doing so when it comes down to it your say in the matter means nothing. You may feel like your entitled to a say because you donate money and they might even hear you out only to make you feel that they are listening but in reality you have absolutely no power whatsoever.
