So which WRs have reached "Dude" status at this point?

Joshua Moore reached dude status last year when he was carrying.

Ha! Tech fans better be careful when flashing their guns up sign around Moore.

    2023

Where we stand at WR for next year:

Isaih Neyor is supposed to be a total stud at WR and he should be back for next year.

Hopefully J. Whitt will be back.

    Worthy?

We also have 3 smallish speed burners coming in at WR with the 2023 recruits:

    Ryan Niblett
    Johntay Cook, II
    Deondre Moore

Cain had a rough start early in the year, but showed some flashes late.

    Red?

Some of the other guys further down the depth chart, I don't know about...

If this guy is healed up, he could be our best:

Cain looked good last night. Hope he improves. Note we got receivers coming in wanting to play.

Who else would it be? Clearly Worthy has lost whatever edge he had. Sark doesn't use J Whitt as much as he should.

Need to buy Worthy a case of "Stickum" (TM) before ever game & hire Lester Hayes to teach him how to apply it.

The gloves they use nowdays are pretty damn sticky. I have a pair of Under Armor gloves I bought over 10 years ago and I would never consider putting stickum on them.

As I said in the other thread, I think it's more an issue of getting your hands in the right position to catch the ball. If you throw a football onto a concrete floor vs into a box, which one is going to have a better chance of securing the ball?

Lester Hays personally changed the NFL rule on stickum. He must have used a quart at a time

Yeah, the gloves are almost a cheat code. Tried a pair on once and couldn't believe how anybody could ever have an unforced drop of a pass that hit them in the hands.

Yeah, earlier in the year Cain looked like he wasn't ready, lost, and out-of-sync with the QB.

Cain had a good game last night, so we know he's got it in him. He's tall and fast and could be a fairly significant weapon going forward.

Do we do those WR drills with the tennis ball machine?

Hayes looks like he's about to do a standing broad jump out of that stance.

    Exceptional coverage man.

Why? Won't do any good. You have to get close enough to the ball to reach it. You have to want it bad enough to try. Unless those gloves/stickem have magnetic ability, it would be another waste of mooney.

Does anyone know if Brenen Thompson redshirted? Freshman from Spearman, TX. Has a lot of speed.

If he played in 4 games or less, he is redshirted

Brenen T came in with high accolades. I haven’t heard a peep about him this year though. Must be redshirting.

    mc,

I may be wrong, but I think I saw him in 9-10 games. Not sure he was ever targetted.

Lester was one bad-*** mofo. People HATED when he touched them 'cause of the Stickum. Also, he'd knock your head to where your *** used to be.

Admittedly he abjectly can't/won't adjust to possibly catchable balls, but a few of balls (last nite & others thru the season) hit him in the hands...very catchable...boinged to the turf.

Yes he did get some playing time late in the season, including a big play in the loss to okie state.
We need his speed next year for sure.

he has track speed and I am guessing he has better hands than Worthy.

Thompson had a 32 yard catch versus OSU. Wr screen. No other catches. Not sure he had any other targets. It blows my mind he hasn’t gotten another chance.

Possibly. But it might start looking suspicious when Worthy suddenly becomes capable of catching the ball with the back of his hand - either hand.
