I gave Herman a break over the first three years because he still had a lot of Strong's recruits, lack of experience on his teams, and a lack of quality Power 5 coaches to help him coach. He has an experienced team with decent to good coaches every where. I could see being off last week but there were no excuses for this week. This is on him.

Chop, I could not agree with you more. Patterson probably just tells his players, guy's it's just Texas this week so you know what to do. WE will start looking at the the game two weeks from now and look at them.

I just checked Twitter. “Tom Herman Championship Football” is not trending.

Poor game by Texas all around. I don't go too much into any one play - most times the RB won't fumble on the 1 and so people would be talking about "jamming it right at them" or such.

Defenses played poor at the start, then decent to hold TCU to lots of FG instead of TD's, then bad at the end to both let them score, then run out the clock. 3rd and what 7, on the 20? You have to make that play. Or don't and lose, players and coaches choice.

Offense still has a hard time running for yards when needed - same issue as last year, though the stats will show a lot of yards. In general, your QB should not be your leading rusher.

After 11 games, HeMan is now 3-8 against TCU/OU/OSU, the only 3 decent teams year in/out in the conference.

We could so easily be 1-2 right now with our lone victory over UTEP.

Since Texas travels so well, we could probably leg in for an invite to the Beef O’Brady Bowl if we really start kicking *** in the bottom half of the season.

Couple of observations, there were 26 penalties. 14 on TCU and 12 on Texas. Our rushing game only produced 152 yards to TCUs 226. The D gave up over 400 yard and allowed TCU to hold the ball for nearly 35 minutes. Looks like another year of having to count on the O to out score our opponents. Finally, we are 2-7 against TCU since they joined the B12.

To qualify. An off tackle run by a big back will score when a TIRED SMALLER BACK RUNNING UP THE GUT does not score.
Why no goal line, quick hitter, with a big back for short goal line plays? My reference to Cody Johnson was because he ran that play successfully many times.

Why is everybody giving up already?

We are going to smoke OU and win the Big 12. Are we an elite team? No but we will still win the conference because this conference is wide open with a lot of holes and no elite teams.

Remember that OU got punked by KSU and they're about to get punked by Iowa St. Remember that Iowa State handled this TCU team we lost to today. I don't understand the love for OU, they are a very mediocre football team and will finish no better than 8-4

We will probably lose another conf game or maybe two, but trust me we will still end up in the Big 12 champ game and we're going to win it.

the last time I checked, KSU was shutting out the same Tech team that rolled up 56 on the horns. On top of that, KSU got beat by Arkansas St who just got rolled up on by Costal Carolina. By that logic, I guess Costal Carolina would probably own the Big XII. It is 2020 you know!

I’m just barely still hanging onto the Tom wagon now (but I’m still on it). Of course, I was one of those guys who wondered why they were firing Mackovic and Mack Brown (and even Charlie) so soon.

Tom has very little rope left. 1 or 2 more losses this year max.

I heard Tom was looking for a home in San Antonio so he could be closer to their Bowl game.

    Hey Coach,

Do championship teams lose to unranked teams at home as a double digit favorite?

After running a kickoff back 99 yards, why didn't Bijan Robinson see the field again?

Why the hurry up offense with 2 minutes on the clock and ball on the One?

Did Elinger whisper anything in your ear after TCU QB ran in for final TD?

Why do you guzzle water during press conferences and basically look like you care less?

This pretty much sums up the presser.

"Hey Tom, were you surprised at how sloppy the team played today?"

"Yeah, totally surprised because we had a great week of practice."

"We've got to figure out a way...." was said probably 8-10 times. I think its way past time for you to have figured it out.

Words of coaches who don’t really know what they are doing.
