Sabre, thank you for you kind words to Bystander. Those thoughts and words are examples of acts of kindness all of America needs!!
A couple of really good, really tall, LBs. The Stork- Ted Hendricks - Oakland Raiders / U. of Miami Texas Longhorn Bruce Scholtz Becky's Seattle Seahawks Fan Site
Thank you Captain Obvious for clarifying what didn't need clarifying. If you are referring to me in your second sentence above, you are mistaken. Maybe you are referring to yourself? I do choose to say that a player who attended a Texas HS, played years of Football at that Texas HS, and then graduated from that Texas HS IS a player from a Texas HS. I stand by the accuracy of saying that kids who play football in Texas HS's are indeed "Texas HS players."
Wait a minute... Charles Wright from Austin, Texas... Shouldn't he be writing legal treatises or something...?
Thanks Sabre. I don't expect everyone to agree with me all the time. That'd be a little egotistical. I understand the love of the school carried by the alumni. I'm a big fan and have been for decades. I just try to support them and recognize what I'm seeing in and out of the program for discussion sake. I love the website and I always enjoy your inside knowledge even though I don't always get it as you usually use the sly touch... Hook 'em.
Maybe you should check their first 15 years of residency. Playing football in Texas high schools is just not an absolute confirmation of being a Texan, obviously. Reread the second sentence. I have no idea if it applies to you. That is a personal decision.
Baylor was his initial offer. I am torn about him. His size is tremendous, but is he quick enough or coordinated enough? If he were, I think he would easily be rated 4 Stars. I like the Cosmi and Kerstetter athletic types for OL.
Is it just me or other folks having a hard time getting excited about recruiting right now? Just askin!
OK, here ya go, Herman fires the Hand, hires the Blake, lands the sons, and Kristy suddenly starts getting invites to social affairs again. Everyone lived happily ever after. Did that work?
CDC fires the Tom and I am in, well maybe. Oops, also all recruits sings the eyes before granted full ride.
Fair point. If we are going to be a losing team, again, I would rather lose with players who stand (and sing) rather than kneel. Seems like we are paying a very high price for a team that only disappoints. Why are we even participating in this?
They want to play in the NFL So, let us assume for the moment, that once their playing is over, they want to return to Texas to have families and live out the rest of their days. For that entire period, their only friends will be aggy and people forced to give half their state back to the Natives Americans who they stole it from. Worth it?
Or dumb evaluators. Let us see in 5 years. I never want coat tail jumpers. They fail when the chips are down. Never regret not getting players who do not want to be Longhorns.
You can't win. It has become that bad. Everything is politicized. If you don't agree 100% with relish then you are a white supremacist, Nazi, racist. There is no doubt about the zeal and the political cancel tool in place.
