and how about smiling walking off the field after a loss to your biggest and most hated rival?

How about having a player quit the team and walk off the field during a game and not kick him off the team? Ain’t a damn thing funny about that either,

Is the "team's" performance impaired? No, because there is no "team". There are groups of like mind, puppets, a few football players. Unless we are playing New Mexico School for Wayward Girls, these groups will have trouble with any "team" on the schedule. Unification is not likely because "No Common Sense" Tom hasn't and still doesn't know where to start. He is down to having CDC & Hartzell doing his job for him.

So here’s a question. After seeing that 247 video, will TH make it through the season? Yurcich could coach this team couldn’t he? I think so.

A lot of agreement that the level of rudderless leadership at Texas is a national embarrassment. I sense that and so does Sam Ehlinger. He said the team was splintering in a damn press conference! I see Sam’s passing is down from last year in terms of picks and completion %. This has gotten to him I think. Very sad. We may improve everything by making Yurcich interim head coach! He’s qualified!

I know I said if TH goes 6-0 the rest of the year he can survive and maybe so. But what are the chances? How bad is the locker room? If it’s bad enough now we’re better off firing TH now. Only CDC and staff can figure that one out. Tough decisions.:whiteflag:

See the Portland mayor and what happens when you bend over like this. Not to be West Mall, just a relevant example.

Hell, you and I could do a better job than those guys. After all, we both survived the dreaded 'rona.

I wonder to what extent does the eyes of Texas negatively effect recruiting. I wonder how often does the opposition use "the eyes" as a racist song to get recruits to cross Texas off their list.

    Interesting question
If any recruit asked How is it racist there would be no answer
But sadly I do not think anyone would ask

There will be recruits and parents ask whoever the coaches are in the foreseeable future about their opinion of the song. All they'll really be able to say is that it's not up me what the policy is.

Or they could say truthfully there is nothing racist about our song
What is wrong with the truth?

I agree 100% there's nothing racist about the song. I'm sure that will satisfy the majority. I'm equally sure that's not what some want to hear. Point is it will be a factor when the final decision is made

If a good player won’t come to Texas over that song let him go. It’s not worth it.

I dated some beauties in college but let them go too, and it was worth it. If it’s not right it will never work.

I know football is the largest, most prominent stage in UT athletics, but UT women's volleyball seems to be succeeding quite well in Corona times. Is it just a convenient excuse to blame the pandemic for what's going on on the football field? Not a big fan of making excuses, personally...

Is there someone here who is more savvy with technology who could put together a Herman montage of all the "we've got to figure out...", "They are easy fixes" & "We have to be more disciplined" comments made in the past 3 1/2 years?

This could be really special and I bet could go on for 8-10 minutes easy.

Regarding The Eyes and negative recruiting, tell me something I don’t know. Schools have been using the race card against Texas for decades. The Eyes saga won’t change that.

The is a failure of leadership at Texas (what a revelation, right?). If there had been any, this issue would have been squelched before it saw the light of day.

If I were on the recruiting trail and a recruit or their parents raised the issue, I would likely do what Trump did in the Town Hall Thursday with chirpy Savannah. Ask the question: Are we really going here, after two black Heisman winners, a mostly black team, probably the most progressive/liberal school in Texas, a former black coach, the field named after two black athletes...

“If you buy the ruse that Texas is racist, don’t come here.“
