I've not seen Baylor this year, and don't know much about them beyond what I have up on the ESPN page.

They whipped up on Kansas, and lost a 2OT game to the Hillbillies.

Their QB is the same good one from last year, and looks like he's going good this year, but nothing special. 4 TD's, 2 ints. If he can make plays via running, then he can give Texas fits, as the TCU QB did. The center of the field often seems like a No Man's Land for Texas, where defensive players can't enter.

They've given up 7 sacks in two games, one of them to Kansas, so maybe their OL isn't very good, and Texas can get some pressure on them. But probably not.

The Texas defense has given up a lot of points this year, and despite today's practice which will be the best ever!, I don't see that changing. So lots of points by both teams.

Herman is 2-1 against Baylor, and so far this year, Texas has beaten the 1 team it had a winning record against going into the game (TT - 2/1 before this year), while losing to the two teams it has a losing record under Herman.

So, Texas win, high scoring, sloppy play, win via Sam's play.

Texas 38, Baylor 35. Their FG kicker is only 1-3 from 40 yards or so, so I expect a few misses on his part that will play into the outcome.

Will be interesting to see the Eyes of Texas after the game. Supposedly the word has come down for the players to at least pretend not to hate something that Street/Earl/Ricky/Major/Vince/Colt all seemed to enjoy and relish, but what do those old men know compared to, err, ahh, well, these players who have won, ahh, well, errr.

Will they stay on the field, milling around? Will they do something dramatic like take a knee, stand on one leg, or limp to the side like your leg is broken, shaking and twitching just like they were smoking? Or will they ignore it all and just run back to the locker room? Would the Boo Birds make a fall appearance in Austin, especially if this happens after a loss?

    We shall see!

I think zero players have had any effects from the Wuhan virus, and for that matter, about as statistically close to zero for any heath issue as you can get for the general student population.

Lightening strikes, bathtub falls, and eating detergent pods account for more heath issues than the virus for college age people.

My head says that BU will win this game due to all the negatives Hornfans have pointed out over the past week.
    My heart says Texas wins.

I have hard time seeing Texas win this one, Best prediction, Charlie Brewer continues the long line of QB’s who have career days against Texas with a Heisman worthy day against the Texas defense and the Texas offense keeps shooting itself in the foot with stupid mistakes and turnovers.

Baylor will play with more heart than the malcontents.
Sam plays hard the first three quarters but loses a little zeal to win the game when the malcontents don't put forth the necessary effort to win. Not attempting to knock Sam, but he is human. Hope I'm wrong.

After the game, Herman kisses each player, screams Fixed!, then cries.
While kissing, screaming and crying he misses the Eyes of Texas.

    UT 45, Baylor 41.

This is the first game of a four-game stretch of winnable games that could get UT to 6-2 heading into the games with the two teams who are currently 3-0. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but the story of this team is yet to be written.

The defense sucks ***, the offensive line seems to be gettin worse, and the stupid penalties just keep on comin. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t win another game. I really wouldn’t.

But the flex, you can't discount the effect of the flex, where a DB isn't in the right position, gives up a critical 3rd down, then come running up (from behind as he wasn't actually by the receiver), gets a big hit, then flexes for the camera.

Yes the other team keeps moving the ball till the inevitable TD, but there's a flex to appreciate till then.

Texas won't lose out. They're tracking the historical W / L risk weighted percentage under He-Man. Based on that:

    67% win against Baylor
    33% win against OSU
    67% win against W VA
    100% for KU
    67% for ISU
    100% for KSU

That's a risk weighted 4.3 wins, rounded down to 4 as no way KSU should be considered 100% win this year (100% based on 3-0 record last three years).

6-4, doubtful to make the B12 game with that record, but you never know, other teams may trade off lots of losses too.

After listening to the presser today, Baylor and brewer, with his expected 450 passing yards and 5td’s, might as well stay in Waco. Don’t even think about getting off the bus.
At least we’ll be spared of hearing over and over again how Texas didn’t even offer Brewer, and his family ties to Texas.

How about the details of Dave Aranda"s morning multiple times. I'm glad Dave enjoys his five mile run, and what could be invigorating than yoga on the banks of the Brazos?

Maybe in order to keep WM (and others) engaged, we should predict things other than the score, like will Texas have over 100 yards in penalties? Or how many players will run off the field in protest? or will Aranda cover his mouth and nose with his mask? Will the Baylor line "socially distance"? Did Baylor take three weeks off to prepare for this game? I am sure I missed something?
