Talk about the wheels coming off. That would be highly unethical. Either quit now or keep your mouth shut. Don't get paid and pretend you're being the honest guy with the recruits just to keep up your rep when you jump ship.

I hope it's wrong. I'm just commenting on the hypothetical situation.

If it is true, it is one more instance of Herman not knowing what's going on in his program.

Right now put me in the "don't believe" category because:

    1) I don't think he's that stupid

    2) For decades A&M and OU have tried to plant rumors like that inside our program.

Message to Joey Abousie (sp), Scott Hill was the best ever at that. He had a guy at the Times Herald that would print anything Scott told him. Lest anyone misunderstands, Scott is a friend and one helluva nice guy, but he was a formidable recruiter for Barry.

A rule change is coming that might help us down the road if this class falls apart

Wow, can you see elite programs putting feelers out to players in positions they may need strengthening? This could be perpetuating dominance among the dominant.

This would be a one-time free transfer rule. My perspective is that it might come in handy to Meyer if he gets the job. Transfers will likely be key to him getting off to a good start given the timing -- when he took the job vs. the early signing period deadline

Yes but it will handy to everyone. My point is it will be most handy to the contenders.

With the Class of Beef in Texas this year, we are now begging 3 star players from Colorado to come to Texas...

Man, was in a bad mood and checked out Rivals on our 2021 class, man it's bad. I don't really like to go off star rankings, but instead who we beat out to get them. Not much interest from top programs from our current commits. Add that to the inability to improve players by Herman, coaches, and Yancy = this is a real turd of a class....

Think about it guys what normal 18 year old, unless they are the currently rare Texas by birth fan, wants to go to a school that athletes don’t even want to sing the school song? Now think about kids that think they’re ‘woke’.

Yep, the civil war ended in 1865. Takes real character to keep prejudices going. SMH

Yeah, school songs based on racist rants are so cool.

At least the Texas band knows better. Texas will be a better place once all the white racists die off. White crackers are not even in vogue at barbeque joints anymore, sadly.

Hartzell has screwed Texas recruiting for a long time.

It's a shame that the influence of a few, both from the distant past and currently, can destroy the rich tradition of singing an innocent song at a football game simply by making it seem something evil, a song no less.
Our opponents must be salivating but they will miss us.
I believe we will be at the level of Kansas or lower for the next twenty or thirty years. The sooner we change the song the sooner the longhorns will become contenders again. I'll be dead long before that happens. It was a nice run. Mack brown took us to the zenith of our goals.

To me, there is no way reconciliation can be had between keeping the eyes and getting the better recruits. They gonna go elsewhere and we know that recruiting is the lifeblood of a team.
Even Urban Meyer can't tackle this.
As they say all good things come to an end.
