Older sister Olivia graduated from OSU in May. Vivian just graduated as she posted her graduation photos on August 22 on her twitter account. While both have one year of eligibility remaining, doesn't look like Olivia has intentions of continuing her hoops career (nothing on her twitter account indicating otherwise). Of course, if a school offers both sisters a hoops scholarship for one year, I can see that being enticing to Olivia moreso for free graduate school for one year and a role player on the hoops squad.

As for intra-conference grad transfers, both would need a waiver from OSU to transfer to another Big 12 conference school. When Erin DeGrate grad-transferred from Texas Tech to Baylor for the 2019-20 season, she had to obtain one from Tech, and it wasn't easy according to Baylor fans. I can see OSU not granting the waiver simply to prevent 2-3 of their players from ending up at fellow conference schools and have to play against them twice a season.

Bingo. She is no longer on the 20-21 roster for OSU.

If OSU is smart they will grant it and let her walk away. Ill leave it at that.

OSU is being gutted. Last season, they lost a transfer to Ohio State who was granted immediate eligibility for 2019-20. Then Gerlich to Texas Tech. And, now Vivian Gray (regardless of where she ends up). The Gerlich and Gray transfers really hurt based on the timing being in August and not much earlier in the offseason.

When did she get in the portal??? Based on who she is following it's a lot of Texas Tech athletes. Now that could mean nothing and she knows them or she could possibly be following fellow athletes kind of what our athletes do. Would be a much needed pickup since nobody knows the status of Ebo yet.

My source told me Tech. I think she and Gerlich are tight.

I'm betting on Tech like @BALL IS LIFE . To me UT just never seemed like it would be her "cup of tea."

    What's the latest?

Vivian is only following Coach Gerlich and TechWBB on twitter; no other programs.

But, didn't Fall semester classes already start? Thought there would have been announcement already.

Elena Lovato is following on Twitter. It says she will be a grad transfer after the fall semester. So does that mean she will have to sit out until the spring?

So far nobody who has requested a waiver has been denied. 11 have been granted and 0 have been denied which I expected due to covid. Don't want to jinx anything but hopefully Ebo is not one of the very few who get denied.

Interesting that that Virginia Tech to Notre Dame is technically (because of ND's odd relationship with the ACC) "within" the conference.

So, if this comes to pass, we wouldn't have any open 'ships for 2021-22 unless there is attrition. Could also limit how many 'ships we choose to award out of the projected 5 available.

This is definitely an advantage for us. Since we have a great staff and very well known university. I surely expect our staff to hit the transfer portal. Now that this rule has come into play coaches will definitely put just as much effort into the portal as they do recruiting. Even if Collier leaves after this season I am 100% sure our staff brings in big name players most likely every season.

Well, that new rule only provides a benefit if your program has available scholarships. Can't bring in transfers if there are no openings. If Charli does depart early for the WNBA, then that would result in one new opening. Other than that, it would be all about unpredictable attrition.

Aggy got their transfer, what’s the hold up with Lauren? The longer it takes the more concerned I get.

I expect her waiver to come soon. I honestly don't think anyone will be denied a waiver this season. A player who transferred mid season was granted a waiver to play in the upcoming season from the beginning so if that got approved then I expect everyone to get one.

Vic said yesterday that Texas was in the “middle of the fight” to get Lauren her transfer waiver. Hopefully that’s metaphorical because every other player seems to be getting theirs...

Okay if Shakira Austin is granted hers... transferred because she didn't like the way Brenda Frese was utilizing her... Then Lauren's waiver is only a matter of days away. My question is WTF are they waiting for, and why don't they just grant everybody's at one time? The current process, under the current extenuating circumstances, seems ridiculous to me.

Lol they gave vivian gray her waiver and a player from UT Arlington just got hers. I know it doesn't work this way but they are within our region so I expect Ebo to get her waiver soon. It just seems Texas always has to wait to the very end to get some news

Could be that Texas didn't submit Lauren's waiver as early as others did; if Vic is saying they are at the mid-point (and the season starts in less than a month), then that's all I can gather.

As for Vivian Gray, her waiver was from the Big 12 (OSU) due to intra-conference grad-transferring; no waiver needed from the NCAA for grad-transfers.

Coach Lovato is following Princeton, mid-year grad transfer PG, Carlie Littlefield on twitter, and vice verse. Also, see Stanford and TCU following her on twitter.

I think she will go to either Iowa or Iowa state. I'm just going off of her Twitter and she seems to be following alot of Iowa players. Would be great if we could get her as a backup point guard. She can score without a doubt.
