Just reported on The Horn 104.9FM. Kansas is unable to field a full team, or something like that.

Ahhh prairie ****... can the Horns schedule a pick up game with some other idle team with no positive cases of Covid lately? This team does not need 2 bye weeks.

This is great! I can see this scenario: Texas only needs to beat Kansas on December 12th to clinch a spot in the B12 Championship Game. Herman's butt is starting to clench already! Win and you're in, lose and you're fired! That is called pressure! The Eyes of Texas are Upon this game!

Is KU the death knell for Herman just like they were for Strong?

They’ve beaten us or been close to beating us recently. We could’ve easily lost last year, one score game the year before, and won the year before that, sealing Strong being fired. We play them very poorly relative to other B12 teams.

Dang it! And I just obtained this page from Tom Herman's secret binder and passed it along to Les Miles. It contained some rather unorthodox strategies and play calls that I would never use, but I figured it might help Miles beat Texas.

Glad to hear it is cancelled; anybody who would want that game to take place probably sets aside a few days every year to watch the slaughter of the baby Harp Seals.

Ole Miss may still be in TX, their game with Aggie got postponed - they can play at House field or something.

Happens a lot here (except for the bonus points--those are very rarely bestowed, but always appreciated).

At this point in the season, given that the CFP is not being moved (at least not per the update this morning), postponed IS the new canceled...

15 CV19 games last week and now TX @ KS postponed.

Glad to hear it wasnt the Horns that were the cause. Kudos to the team for their efforts.

Not many postponed dates available in Dec.

If it doesn't affect standings (3 or 4 way tie), will they still play it?

Only reason to play it will be because the conference guarantees and has to deliver TV a certain number of games

Huge advantage for Texas, we get 4 extra days of rest and game planning for Iowa state who will be on a very short week especially with T-Giving and travel mixed in.

Sigh. I hate to ponder the possibility, but might this cost Texas a chance to make the championship game?

Suppose Texas beats ISU and K-State to get to 6-2. But on 12/12, KU is still having Covid issues and can't play again. If two teams from among OSU, OU, and ISU finish at 7-2 or better, does the conference just say, "Tough luck, Texas, the championship game is next weekend and you won't have a chance to play Kansas, so your 6-2 record isn't good enough."?

If all of those " ifs" cone to pass I believe Texas would still go due to beating both oSu and ISU.
