But they'd both have more conference wins than we would, so we'd be behind them in the standings, in which case we shouldn't be able to be considered ahead of them.

Is the situation covered in the tiebreaker or to have a tie in tiebreaker the rule?

On the field results are the first tiebreaker. Texas would have scoreboard on both oSu and ISU. If Texas would be disadvantaged by Kansas not being able to play, they would either award a forfeit to Texas or force Kansas to play with the healthy players.

I think because of Covid the standings are based on losses, not win %. Normally that doesn't matter since everyone can be counted on to play the same number of games. At least some conferences adjusted for that in their standings and tiebreaker rules. Not completely sure if ours did though.

Okay, thanks for the discussion about the possible ramifications of our not playing the same number of games as the other teams, if it comes to that.

Now that OSU's lost Bedlam, let's beat Iowa State next week and stay in the hunt!

Since this game is meaningless, do they still play it?

For some players this year will be the last as a Longhorn. No NFL, no transfer portal maybe no scholarship next year.
A victory on the field as a Texas Longhorn will be a memory that most on this chat will never enjoy.
I hope we win big and clear the bench play.
    Go Horns!

Don't count this game as a win.
