I don't even understand why his winning or losing any games the rest of the season matters. Isn't it clear that Herman=mediocrity.
IMNSHO this is all about the manifesto he wrote in the summer. Apparently Kirk Bohls will be making the selection.
I've been unable to find anything mentioning Herman for the SC job and why would they want him? Seems to me if there was anything to it there would be more chatter. Supposedly Napier turned down Arkansas last year thinking SC would come open. Everything I've heard indicates he's the clear leader.
SC wants him? First I’ve heard of it, but if so, I’ll go help Herman pack...no charge! The Dodd Trophy sounds like one of those awards that kids get for showing up for every game.
They wanted him in 2015 but he backed out after they lost to Citadel. I haven't heard anything saying they want him now. But it would be very TX football 2020 to have him leave/get driven out and then UM turn us down and have the next 3 in line like Shanahan all turn us down too, ala Mi State last year.
From the SC side of the equation ... interesting read ... don't have a clue if true or not but this is for entertainment purposes Tom Herman eyeing South Carolina?
ISU is a good team But we certainly cant lose if we dont play (although anything seems possible in 2020)
It's not an issue for me, but I think its coming from a connected poster with a good reputation on that site. But still one guy on a message board
I really didnt mean to direct that at him like it seems. I noted the original idea came from the SC24/7 site and almost immediately someone comes in with, "I looked all over and cant find where that comes from." So I was trying to politely direct it at those posters, but I sort of accidently ran over Badass in the process. It was an unintentional drive by shooting. I will strive to improve my technique in the future. It's the best I can offer.
Oh I didn't take it any way at all. I was messin around. But, yes...We must all be continually working on our technique here. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
Bye weeks are bad enough, let alone a double bye week. Let's pray to God we don't have any more of them for a LOOOONNNGGGG time!
Leaving UT for a worse job has precedents. Fred went to Purdue. Mackovic to Arizona. Nobody can win at either. Ok, Joe Tiller was sort of an exception. TH will have limited choices if he leaves by any route
Lots of HC took the buyout or payout money to go into media like Mack w ABC, Urban w FOX or taken the Coord route back to HC like Ed O, Kiffin, and soon Sarkisian. Enjoy the money and be ready for the right route.
If he is stupid enough to do that and there isn't a Voluntary Resignation Value in any document, then yes. However, why would he do that?
This is freakin' absurd. One guy on a SC message board suggests it might happen but by no means a sure thing and people run with it. Herman might get fired if the bottom falls out but he's not leaving voluntarily for anywhere. No one in the national media considers it a remote possibility.
"South Carolina 247 mod" A mod told me Herman is a rocker. Said he's been leaping along in a zoot suit with 5" side vents. Dressed right for a street fight.
