So Trump had approximately 10 million more popular votes Than 2016 which was more than Obama, Biden had 7 more million popular votes Than Trump. Right. You guys are going down a slippery slope.

    ???

More people voted for Biden than Obama and you're concluding the Republicans suppressed the vote?

Meaning we see what we want to see. I don't get it...

2016. That was a Trump strategy. If you get the Bernie people to just drop out or vote for Jill Stein it's as good as a vote for him. It was shrewd and smart.

Ok, but that's not nefarious or suppressive. That's tactical that affects THE FREE WILL OF AN ABLE BODIED HUMAN BEING WHO HAS NO EXCUSE TO NOT VOTE THEIR CONSCIENCE. Nobody has to vote for Stein. Once they're in the booth, then there is no suppression or whatever.

And yes, influence the vote; huh... that's all politicians do. Both sides.

I remember when Democrats tried to keep Nadar off the ballot. I voted for him that year for that very reason. I think it was 2004. I fired the Republicans over the WMD in Iraq speeches made by Bush/Rumsfeld/Cheney and then when I saw the Democrats suppressing our choices, I made my move.

Agree. I was just pointing out that this issue is one factor in the significant increase from 2016 to 2020.

The thing about increased turnout is that it's only effectively helping democracy if there are more choices than "heads" and "tails." If it's just one or the other, then the raw number variances going up and down just don't matter.

    Democracy...

Electoral College - it is what it is. But what about the all or nothing rule? Sounds like Democracy to me relative to each state. Majority rules. Those who lose the election while winning the popular vote think Democracy is subverted if you give states the power to be Democratic when it comes to electoral college votes.

Congress, state and local: A Democracy. Majority rules come election time.

Two major parties: Choices are suppressed. Is this Democratic? No. Liberals not interested in Democracy here if it means a third party is added.

Presidential primaries - Liberals say they can do what they want. Democracy is not favored here; in fact, it is subverted. Electability and patronage rule. "All votes matter" only matters in the general election; not in the primary, so some people are disenfranchised.

Third parties killed conservatives in the past as well. It's cyclical.

I don't know the answer but, effectively, 6 states are deciding our president for us.

Texas 2018 Senate election to the 2020 Presidential election
Trump outperformed Ted Cruz pretty strongly among Hispanic voters. And, for the most part, outperformed Cruz in suburban areas and in places like the Houston, Dallas and Austin metros.

The number of votes they had to make up was so big, they had to do it in a rush and they were not able to cover their tracks as they would have liked to do.

The Republicans MUST hold the Senate:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, expanded 'Squad' demand Biden deliver on Green New Deal

Despite what Seattle say's, AOC and her ilk are not fringe. They are a danger to our country. They will spend us into oblivion and turn this country into a hate filled feudal society. And they want Biden to deliver via executive order. How else, because why go after him on this stuff? He' s not Congress but they have no care for our laws. NONE. AT. ALL.

AOC and her ilk will cause another Reign of Terror. And then she will be executed on the altar that she made. Modern day Robiespierre.

Mike Garcia did declare victory in CA-25 (the Katie Hill seat, a seat we've all seen by now). I am not sure if it's 100% over but he is probably correct.

If so, this is the third US House seat in Sothern Cal the Rs flipped back
    CA-21 will make it 4

    In Iowa-2, Miller-Meeks (R) is ahead of Hart (D) by 37 votes

But there are unconfirmed reports Hart has also netted late votes to put her within one vote

    394k votes cast

Maybe the votes from the rural cemeteries are coming in much later than those from the urban cemeteries.

    They believed the polling
Had they realized the polling was so bad ahead of time, they would have produced a sufficient amount to win in precincts like this one. We've seen this all over, including places like Calif and NY

Rs have flipped 14 House seats so far this year, with over 1/4 coming from a single state: California (ca-21, ca-25, ca-39, ca-48)
I believe there are still 5 House races outstanding, with Rs winning all 5
If that holds, I think it would be 222-213, which would mean just 5 Dem defections would flip it. Many of the "Blue Dogs" have already lost, but i think there are 5 or more still left

However it does end up, it will be a far cry from some of the predictions in here. One poster said Rs were gong to lose another 30 seats in 2020. Lordy

OTOH, McSally let both of AZ's Senate seats flip in 2 consecutive cycles.

    What is wrong with Arizona?
