Ummm. In the NFL he has to deal with entitled prima donnas. At the college level he can work with hungry enthusiastic coachable students.
No. But frankly, nothing would surprise me. I will add that regarding the recently imposed 10-5 curfew (see below), every Orange County sheriff said that they would not enforce it. I believe that the LA County sheriffs did the same. “Newsom announced on Thursdaythat due to the virus "spreading at a pace we haven't seen since the start of this pandemic," he was issuing a "limited" stay-at-home order that will go into effect on Saturday, including a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in areas that comprise over 94 percent of the state's population. Shortly after the announcement was made, several county sheriffs insisted they would defy the governor by not enforcing the curfew.”
For the love of god- please give us the news UM has been hired. It’s the one sure fire thing to allow me to instantly re-activate my obsession with my university/football team again!
My buddy who subscribes to Orangebloods reports that their premium gossip column is saying that $12 million/year is being dangled in front of UM. That's $3 million more than Saban at 'Bama and he wins a National Championship every other year.
*IF* Meyer can put us back on the national stage with consistent winning, $12MM/year will seem like a bargain. When this program is winning, money just falls out of the trees.
NCs at Florida and Ohio State. If he can't win at Texas, then we will all owe Herman a big apology because it will have been proven that winning is hard.
Sorry, guys, I couldn't figure out how to embed just the image, but near the top of this piece is a chart that shows UT as second only to Eastern Michigan in #of 1 score games played since 2017....with 27 total (14-13). For an 11 game season...assuming '17 was part of this...that's 4 years at 44 games with 27 being 61%...again 2nd in all of NCAA....and with a few of the best recruiting classes since peak Mack. If you begin in 2018, the ratio of 1 score games is higher. As I stated the other day when discussing why it is so much less fun and more stressful to watch this team these days.....look no further than this^^^^^. We "take care of business" almost literally at the bottom of all of college football relative to peers. Any reasonable analysis of TH, our program, and recent state of affairs must include this information. The cost of Tom Herman’s penchant for close games
Nahlin: Yes there are plenty of articles being written - but once Tom is officially fired the National attention will increase ten-fold. It might be one of the reasons CDC has held off on ****-canning Tom just yet. Allows them to be just a little bit more under-the-radar in their search.
Chip Brown (of all people) thinks our backup plans are Steve Sarkisian and Matt Campbell Nahlin already said Matt Campbell is a no and Sark has had a drinking problem in the past
