Godfather Part III was worse than the first two, and II was very good, maybe better than the original.
Only thing I can add is, the current situation with the football program from top to bottom is the worst I’ve ever seen. That’s my 2cents worth.
Agreed- I’ve been a die hard fan since 5th grade.... 1974 I think, I’ll not do the math. Been through highs and lows- nothing like this. What should have been a Top 5 or better year end ranking turned into a dumpster fire.100% coaching errors and just poor judgment.
There seems to be a growing sense of optimism that this is going to happen. CDC and company know attendance in the newly improved DKR is going to suck unless they do something to protect their investment. Also, the rise of aggy is a motivating factor. They're rising. We're wallowing in mediocrity.
The current state of Longhorn football reminds me of Cousin Eddie emptying the contents of what he refers to as, “That there is an RV”, into the sewer out front of the Griswold home.
IMO, most trilogies go 1-3-2 in terms of quality, but there are exceptions. All three Star Wars trilogies, for example.
We're in a sorry state at present, no doubt. I will say this: the overall talent onboard is better than the McWilliams era. The team speed is much better than the McWilliams era.
More off topic III: Don't look now but Shaka's got a good team that just beat UNC 69-67 to win the Maui Classic. That's all I got.
Expendables 2 was nowhere near as good as Expendables 1, but Expendables 3 was better than 2, but less than 1. Now that I think about it, all three were a total waste of time. Never mind
David was/is a friend, a great Longhorn, but that is the worst coaching staff since before I was born. Not one of those guys could get a job at a D1 program after they were fired. They wouldn't recruit (I said "wouldn't"); they could have, but were lazy. Guys more worried about getting their girlfriend's car financed or someone to pay for it than they were recruiting. Don't dare recommend a kid for the program because he may tell alums how lazy they were. When the State 100 meter champion says, "I don't need to visit, just mail me the letter of commitment", then the OC lies saying he went to get him and RC had taken him away. FWIW, Felman Malveaux started at WR for Michigan as a true freshman. Love David and his family, but hated his staff.
Friends in Lubbock still badmouth him after he bailed on them after one year. David is a great guy but Akers was a superior coach. Loved his defenses. Three and out time after time.
