    Hand will be gone!!

Agree. And I would rather keep Yurcich and just replace Hand vs have Flood come in as OC/OL.

The way it's looking, you may be forced to have to watch more games with me this next season.

You have to agree that the D made improvements this year. We have a couple of good recruiters on D. I am not sold on muschamp. Yes he has done well on D but he is just looking for a job in between his next opportunity to be a head coach. I think everyone will be after the Cincinnati DC. His D played very well. Texas does have a pretty sold D coming back but it needs more speed. On the O, we have a pretty solid RB, WR, and QB. If we can somehow teach the OL how and who to block, no telling where they could go.

ABOVE ALL, SHOW THE WOKE PEOPLE THE DOOR. This is football, not politics!!

Ya'll crack me up, the culture is the issue but everyone wants to keep all the coaches. I don't care who stays or who goes (but I do hope Giles stays). Just fix the damn culture. Hire Gus, Muschamp, Briles, Dodge whoever...

Plus, The new coaches haven't shown an ability to recruit in state and none of them has ties with Texas High school coaches. Granted it was 1 year but that's why you get paid the big bucks...

Good points. I didn't watch this year, so I have no opinion on keeping them, but yes, maybe they all need to be flushed.

Maybe valid points Handler but do not underestimate the over all influences of the head coach.

I like Ash, but do not have enough knowledge to know if there are better guys to bring in.
I'll trust Sark has good perspective for that decision

OU defense sucked with Stoops, so Texas doesn't need him anywhere near UT.

Does everyone touting Ash realize we were 7th in the Big XII in defense this year? Run defense improved as the year went by, but pass defense sucked balls all the way to the end

This DC discussion has been ongoing for decades. The last really good one I can remember was Chizik, better than Muschamp from what I recall.

Is there a sure fire lock at the job? I’m not sure...

Seemed like a really bad coach to me. I really hated it when OU fired him.

There is a lot of speculation that the Bama Oline coach will join the Texas staff as the new OC.

He was. He called out Chris Simms by name which is a no-no. He had a big mouth. Zero emotional control.

FWIW, I think Adrian Klemm, Tosh Lupoi, Tee Martin and Bo Davis have all had an NCAA "show clause" at one point or another
So if we were to end up with this staff, it would be Texas Football entering a new era (for the record, I am no longer against it)

Here are comment from Roach about a couple of these potential assistants, and one not on the list

Adrian Klemm is another name I mentioned in part one of The Stampede. The assistant offensive line coach for the Steelers is headed into the playoffs, so if Sarkisian wants to hire him, he might need to wait until Pittsburgh is eliminated. A source I spoke with said that Klemm is very interested in getting back to college and feels Texas would be a great fit. A former SMU assistant, Klemm knows the state of Texas and wants to run his own room again.

    — There was a report from Football Scoop that Sarkisian would be interested in bringing Alabama wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins with him. It's not a name I've personally heard, but I did some digging on him today. A former New Mexico player, Wiggins had stops at Illinois State, Tulsa, Memphis, and Virginia Tech before landing at Alabama. Wiggins is a native of Los Angeles and has a fairly good rep as a recruiter. I asked Evan Stewart, who holds an Alabama offer, about him today and Stewart said he really likes what he knows about him so far.

    — I mentioned Oregon defensive backs coach Keith Heyward was a name to watch. I spoke to another source today who indicated there was definitely some interest on Heyward's side and he's discussed making a move if the situation is right. Heyward is co-DC at Oregon but doesn't call the defense. It remains to be seen if Sarkisian's DC choice would want to name his own assistants, but Heyward is a guy who has experience with Sarkisian and would be another plus recruiter.

Agree the secondary was an issue. As noted, I cant stand crybaby sterns and his woke BS. The secondary jumping up and flexing after any play is pure BS as well. You dont see many quality DB's jumping up and flexing. I think putting up with that was one of TH's problems. Lead. I believe it was Royal who said when you get to the end zone, act like you have been there. Thats what was missing from this team. It all boils down to coach leadership and player leadership.
