I hope the commies win both Senate seats. They will undoubtedly show their true face. Soon after the blood will flow.

If Republicans didn't make it easier to vote they would have won! That sums up the current R party succinctly.

It was a long parade of stupid mistakes and unforced errors, and nobody forced any of it on us. First, we chose one mediocre candidate (Perdue) and one sub-mediocre candidate (Loeffler). Neither were very good, but both could have won absent a dumpster fire of idiocy.

Second, yes, they shouldn't have done mail-in balloting. Polling places haven't been shown to be likely places of transmission, and they could have had social distancing, mask requirements, and hand sanitation. Instead of voting by mail, they should have increased the number of polling places, expanded them, and kept them open later to keep lines from getting out of hand. As I've said many times, high voter turnout isn't a virtue nor is it inherently a sign of a strong democracy if those people aren't informed. There's a reason why the founding fathers weren't fans of universal suffrage. If you don't care enough about an election to show up, there's a very good chance you aren't very informed. Those who aren't informed are going to be more deferential to mainstream media and culture, and that's always going to favor Democrats. That's why Democrats like mail-in voting.

Third, if you're going to do mail-in voting, you have to adjust for it. More voters means a broader and less informed electorate. That means you need to broaden your appeal to win. You don't market Chardonnay wine the same way you market chewing tobacco, and Trump apologists will never understand this. Of course, Trump did broaden it in some ways by appealing to working class voters and black and Latino men. However, he significantly narrowed it with educated whites, and he didn't do it with bad policy as much as he did it with bad PR and branding. That means that in terms of policy, we gained nothing for our losses. We only gained the ability to say idiotic and juvenile things and generally be rhetorically sloppy. Ultimately that's why he lost Georgia in the first place. Basically we're letting Georgia and Arizona turn into Virginia and Colorado just so we can talk a bunch of **** and disregard principles.

Finally, instead of letting the general election be a wake-up call and a chance to readjust (which really could have meant just acting normal), we did everything we could do to compound the problem. We could have made Ossoff's and Warnock's nuttiness an issue (and there was plenty of material), but instead we peddled stupid conspiracy theories with idiots telling people to boycott the election, threatened people who didn't go along, and pitched flagrantly anti-democratic and crackpot ideas like invalidating electoral votes and even goofier, asking Pence to refuse to count certain votes. We did everything we could to look as nutty as we possibly could.

Lots of Republicans will put their emphasis on the mail-in voting, because it's an easy target and doesn't require any self-reflection. However, we won plenty of places that had mail-in voting. We could have done it and still won. However, you can't do mail-in voting and then do every stupid thing on the menu and expect to win. Normally a NFL team will beat a high school team, but if they decide to show up drunk, blindfolded, and handcuffed, that high school team will likely pull off an upset. That's basically what we did in the political realm.

Yay! Less individual rights and more taxes! Let’s all get on the government tit.

Part of me is glad that the Dems won both seats. This removes any excuses they will have as to why they couldn't pass their agenda. Also, I am hoping they will try to pass some of their lunatic ideas such as the GND to fully unmask where the modern day Democratic party has shifted. I know some folks in Oil and Gas that still vote Democratic. For some reason, they need convincing that they are voting against their own self-interests.

The never Trumpers and independents are responsible for what’s about to hit them. I know many and I will be ruthless on them for the next two years.

First thing the Dems will do with complete control of the government is pass a massive tax increase. Biden, to his credit, told the American people that was his plan and they still voted for him. The second thing they're going to do is "reform" immigration. We'll see how the country likes those changes. Hopefully there'll be a huge backlash in 2022 just as there was in 2018.

Unfortunately, this is the state of the nation. They Liberals have succeeded in brainwashing a large swath of the country into believing they have a right to take what they have not earned. It's sickening to me.

Actually it's us behaving like dumbasses for the last year (and like complete lunatics for the last several weeks) that's most responsible for what's about to hit is. Not that many people listen to fuckwads like Steve Schmidt or Max Boot. They do listen to Donald Trump.

I can’t believe anyone would elect Warnock, just blows my mind even with all of your explanations I don't get the lunacy.
I should have sold my house last year before the taxes kill me.

    I expect the following:

    1) repeal all Trump tax cuts. This was promised and will result in a major drop in the stock market.
    2) increase in minimum wage which will result in higher unemployment.
    3) gun control to ban all semi automatic weapons or at least a registration effort. I expect gun sales and ammunition sales especially to grow even more over the next few months
    4) destruction of the oil and gas industry through legislative mandates harming all things related. If you live in Houston, get out.

Before people on this board were saying that the mail in votes would be counted first and then the in person votes would be counted later and skewed R. So the D candidates would start with a lead but then the gap would tighten over time.

But that isn't what happened. They counted the in person votes first for some strange reason and then started counting mail in votes. That could be perfectly okay. Or it could be a way to manage the D vote totals to be want they want.

Depends on the state. FL and NC counted the early vote first.

If you traffic in ideas like the VP getting to unilaterally decide the presidential election, Warnock doesn't look as nutty.

This had to be the most monitored state election in history. I think Stacy Abrams and the DNC just got out the votes as promised. God knows what those votes consisted of, but they did it.

I think Trump's shenanigans, trying to pressure certain Georgia Republicans to help him win the Presidential election, probably didn't help Perdue and Co. It caused some core Republicans to not vote. Trump probably should have stayed out of Georgia.

Since Perdue narrowly missed winning outright in November's crowed field, I'll be interested to see how his vote total stacks up this time and how the overall vote total in the runoff compares to the general election.

Edit: In Nov. Perdue got 2,462,617 votes. In the runoff, so far, he's gotten 2,194,578 votes. That's a big drop.

Ossoff had 2,374,519 in Nov. and 2,211,603 in the runoff. Also, a drop, but not as much as Perdue's drop.

The Dems were motivated. The Repubs weren't.

Are you talking about GA runoff?
It appeared to me that the early voting and mail in were counted first and the same day voting next with provisional, same day mail and military( to be added thru Friday runoff) last with approx 90k left to finish Weds. The early and mail was 72% at 3M and the same day 22% at 1M+ according to Hemmer on FNC. Repub turnout in Red counties underperformed Nov %.

Lester Maddox to Reverend Senator in just fifty years. This country has changed a lot in my life and I can't say for the worse. A black guy in the Senate from Georgia. I can recall when you could not travel anywhere in the south, including Texas, where blacks did not get in the front door of restaurants, sit in the downstairs in movie theaters, get to vote. They had their own bathrooms and water fountains, etc.

I am 73 and personally saw all of this change. I was a student at UT when Julius Whittier got to play for UT.

You guys can whine all you want but for many people this is better. A lot better.

While I don't like some of what is going to happen, I am happy for many of the changes, including seeing that reality television moron go down in flames. How anybody can perceive him as a conservative is beyond my poor powers of comprehension.

I just do not buy that narrative. I despise Trump's antics, but I despise socialist policies more. Free college, free healthcare, free everything simply will not work especially as you kill off industries like oil and gas.

I went to Mexico a few weeks ago for vacation. It was sunny, warm and the cervezas flowed all week. Tacos and ceviche on the beach which was full of beautiful women including the Mrs. The best part of the trip? Not having access to any American news.

    No surprise at all.

This is why I supported Trump's nomination of Barrett. There are no rules. There is no honor. So you have to be ruthless and ram it home.

Hopefully, the R's will sue the Democrats and a Conservative SCOTUS will slap the Left down.

Of course, they will now pursue impeachment or removal of Kavanaugh and anyone else they feel they can destroy. They are wicked in their tactics.

I can't believe how anyone could be a Liberal in the arrogant, "We're smarter than all of you" manner they display. It's so obvious how corrupt they are.

The most important senator now is W. Va.’s Joe Manchin (D). He has said he’ll vote against doing away with the fillibuster.

For me the problem is the way people see things these days. I actually know people that are thrilled Warnock won for no other reason than he's Black. Some of the things he's said in the past are ridiculous but there's a lot of people who only care about socialist utopian ideology and the color of your skin. Its absolutely nuts.

Maybe the elections in Georgia have nothing to do with what Trump said or not or what kind of candidates the Rs put forward. The D candidates weren't very good either.

I think the mask is off for anyone willing to just accept reality. Democracy has failed.

Exhibit B. These numbers are pulled directly from the state database. Again, whoever can't see the fraud is willfully ignorant.

But if those on the Right act like lunatics, it will divert attention away from the socialist policies and the bad things about them. It's the same reason I didn't fart out loud in the courtroom.
