So, we are agreed. Use of the name Sark will be allowed but controlled. Sabre Horn will give protection, and there will be the peace.
I miss Texanne's old sig, though, which was either all or part of: "You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons." Which in my mind was applicable to both Aggies and Sooners...
Well, I was impressed and encouraged with the way, Coach Sarkisian, aka Not Sark, aka Winner, used motion, misdirection, pocket protection, excellent blocking, players skills and outstanding effort to control the game. He manipulated the Buckeyes defense over and over. Loved it!
Or with some one that has so much much cred rememember Slick,or Woo???? Not sure That Bad *** Steve Worster ever approved of it!! Maybe Sabrehorn knows
If and when he gets a bit testy and sarcastic at a press conference, we can call him "Snark." If he's animated, and lighting a fire under our team, we can call him "Spark."
Also, when he when he works night and day tirelessly like an iron man we will call him "Stark". Just sayin.
And we cannot forget the very recent, "Boo" for a certain QB who played well for us for a little while. And Woo I remember as "Woo-Woo" Wooster. And "Rosey" Leaks. The nick name has a glorious history that must be preserved!
I certainly don't expect to see the Bama offense anytime soon, but how about the rest of our fans. Texas Fans Should Temper Expectations Around Steve Sarkisian
Thankfully it did not turn into a "Herman with sledgehammer" gif (or "Herman pinching nipples" gif) (or "Herman double rods" gif)
Thought the press conference was outstanding. A few points he made that stuck with me: (For Longhorn Nation) "That's my football team, that's something I'm proud of." "We are clearly the flagship university in the Great State of Texas." "Our goal is to out-prepare and out-coach our opponent every week." (For Texas high school coaches) "This is your program - the door is always open." "Key is to know who you are, believe in who you are, and stick with those beliefs." "You've never really a coach until you've been fired. After that you focus on ways to get better and better." (For current and prospective players who want to be the next Najee Harris or Lavonte Smith) "You need to understand what they did to there and we will work with you to develop to that point." (Today's players) "Need the guidance, they need the leadership." Throughout it all, he was genuine, used reporter's names when responding (which is big for me), and humble. He stressed relationships and talked about perseverance and overcoming. On top of it all, when asked about The Eyes, his response was "That's our song - we support it and sing it proudly." I like this guy...
I knew some dipsh** would ask about playing a and m again. Wish he would have said something like screw them they ran off like titty babies.
