I appreciate the perspective, even if I vehemently disagree with much of the premise. Trump has certainly tapped into that vein to use it for his own narcissistic means.
LOL at listening to Mittens... You and most on the left spent four years babbling about interference in 2016 and now assert that there could have been no improper conduct and no irregularities. You also continue to lump ALL of the people raising questions into one category, specifically a group that categorically asserts something was 'stolen,' rather than paying attention to the questions being raised, not only about the national race but about ALL races. Or did you miss that races in some States were basically set aside SPECIFICALLY because of problems (see Clark County NV as one of many examples). Nobody has EVER offered a reasonable explanation for the placement of poster-board on windows. Talk about deliberately obscuring any element or appearance of transparency. There is also ZERO reasonable explanation of how the 'water leak' that forced a Georgia count to cease turned out to be a single toilet that overflowed slightly and did not impact the counting area. To say nothing of the fact that, in a time where people seeking employment is at a high, there is ZERO reason for not being able to hire and train people to count through the night. There is NO reason for counting to cease. NONE! Reasoned questions are just waved away and the left and the media expect the moderates and even far right to simply nod and say 'okie dokie.'
It is terrorism, because it fits the definition of terrorism. People used violence and fear to try to achieve a political or ideological goal. This is true of the idiots in the Capitol AND the BLM and Antifa rioters.
Not sure what Russian interference and an FBI investigation has to do with this topic. That seems to be a non-sequitir. Trump, Guiliani, Powell and many others in Trump's orbit have continually used the "stolen" language since August, at least. #StopTheSteal has been trending since October on Twitter. You might want to point that finger at Trump and supporters for the ascension of the idea the election was 'stolen'. If you want to talk about down-ballot races that's fine but I hardly think that has any influence on what occurred yesterday. What's to explain? You had Trump protesters who were directly encouraged to stop the vote counting. They had burst into the the convention center then were pushed back outside. Some Supervisor decided to cover the windows to limit the disruption from the protesters trying to stop the counting. Removing the distractions to continue their counting process is evidence of nefariousness when legal Republican and Democrat vote monitors were still in the convention center? I'm not going to justify local decisions but will say that Chatham County, GA did something similar on Tuesday. At some point you have to realize that these are local decisions with local election officials gauging the stamina of their own workforce against the legally mandated timelines for completing the count, likely in consultatin with State election officials. They aren't considering what Seattle Husker and mbb227 think about wanting a brisk decision but rather want to ensure an accurate count with employees that were likely exhausted and would ultimately be relied of for months. An argument could be made that reasoned responses are being "waved away" too.
It's "unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." Still fits.
An osso buco recipe would have made it more interesting. How about some details, dates, names, methods, etc.?
In 2016 it was Russian interference allegedly performed in concert with the trump administration. I’ve never heard anyone claim the actual votes were invalid. Except trump when he thought he was going to lose. Ol girl Sidney is going to cough up a juicy settlement to dominion.
Regarding Jan 6th at the Capitol. Terrorism by whom? Is it a definable group? This is an important question...
Yes, it's a definable group. It's everyone who illegally entered the Capitol for the purpose of disrupting the electoral vote count and everyone who helped plan, organize, and promote this. To be clear, I don't necessarily mean everyone who helped plan and organize the rally. It's not yet known exactly how what seemed like a routine political rally turned into a storming of the Capitol. Further investigation will determine that and therefore how broad the scope of responsibility should be.
It's like when something bad happens, that it is a good idea to investigate what happened and who did it. Hm. What else needs to be investigated.
Mona, mmm what else would need investigating. Maybe the presidential elections. Turn over the machines, the ballots, everything. If everything is up and up the Ds should want that, throw it in my face. Hiding the data does no one any good.
Since we are starting with claims (not evidence) to justify any investigation I hereby declare that humahuma was part of the assault on the Capitol Building. They must turn over all receipts and travel logs for the past week, everything. If everything is on the up and up, we should all want that to confirm that humahuma wasn't involved. Hiding that data does no one any good.
Go ahead and submit an signed affidavit under penalty of incarceration and we have a comparable situation.
I admit you do occasionally impress -- when it comes to ignoring actual facts and data points and pressing forward with his own ******** narrative.
We can have you deposed and determine why you believe it to be true. I would suggest you have some very good responses, otherwise, you'll be the ***** passed around in Cell Block D.
Trump didn't bring 64 cases. Many were not dismissed due to lack of merit. How did that one case slip by?
Yep. Judges and election officials are useless. Both are elected in most states and won't do anything to upset the apple cart. Otherwise, they lose their job. We need real transparency and that involves looking at the actual evidence.
As I have said, I think Biden won. I also think there was widespread fraud. Very few cases were actually heard. Most were dismissed on procedural grounds (no standing, didn't file soon enough, etc.). Some cases are still underway. They won't change the result, but they will change the ability of Libs to change the voting rules established by the States' legislatures a few days before an election.
