I'm going to be as easy as possible with my comments to Bubba because he seems like an okay, misguided Okie.

Bubba, it has been repeatedly pointed out to you, SH and others on this board that the wall is 90% effective in stopping illegals from entering the country. You, SH and others cannot seem to grasp the facts. This does not speak well to your level of intelligence. Ignoring facts causes others to have a great amount of disrespect for you as a person.

Has Trump had the time since his forced unemployment to look into the matter of Barack having been born in Kenya? This is the kind of thing he should excel at and he has all that time on his hands now.

He is busy trying to battle his way out of your thick skull, so, NO, he hasn't had the time to look into your daddy's birthplace.

Imo what Bubba means is the wall ‘might’ be ok unless (or until) Trump supports it, and I cannot imagine 35% of any group supports trans in girls sports. In fact I don’t think it’s even ‘sport’ in that case.

I didn't know anyone was still pursuing anything against the election results. Now I see that Smartmatic has filed suit against, amongst others, Sidney Powell for libel. Discovery should be a hoot.

I don't disagree with you. That's why I think it's much adoo about nothing. I think it doesn't happen and NOT for sports.

The presence of the wall had squat to do with it. The fact that they were separating children and not allowing people to come in as they seek asylum stopped things. I'm not saying that's wrong. I'm all for fixing immigration. Until we cut off the supply by penalizing employers who knowingly hire illegals we're not serious about it. Remove the demand and the supply will stop showing up.

I've got three daughters. 24, 23 and 18. One all stater so far. The junior in high school will be a three sport starter and likely at least a one sport all-stater. None has had to compete against a transgender athlete in all of their various softball, basketball, soccer, etc. Not once across the 5-6 states that we've competed in. There was a girl from Tulsa that was so good that the dad's on the sideline said, "man that boy's good" but she was a girl.

Funny story. At the San Antonio AAU tournament I wore an OU shirt one day. One guy said "hey coach". The next day they had added University of Oklahoma as schools sending coaches. :)

I live in the Seattle area, with 3 sons aged 21, 20 and 18. An area where you'd expect "crazy liberal parents" allowing their sons to be daughters. All played sports including on traveling teams. My youngest twice made state in Wrestling in '18 and '19. I've seen females playing male sports but nowhere have I seen biological males playing female sports. My sons have had a straight record setting power lifting girl on their football team and wrestled females playing in the male brackets in tournaments.

    Here it is again:

I know you boys aren't this dumb. At least I hope so.

The fence is being built at a 10 mile per week rate.

452 miles of new border fence has been built, and another 200-300 are in various construction phases. When you tear down a crumbling house and build a new house, would you say that you have a new house? I thought so. The same goes for an ineffective fence that was torn down and rebuilt. The new fence is much more effective.

The wall is very effective. Check out the results:

In 2006, the U.S. Senate voted in a bipartisan 80 to 19 majority to pass the Secure Fence Act, which authorized construction of physical infrastructure to secure the border. Securing our Southwest Border was once a bipartisan issue.

Neglected, easily compromised, and sparsely constructed, the border fence concept needed a reinvestment in 2017

Today, CBP is constructing a border wall system which includes a combination of various types of infrastructure including:

    • Internally hardened steel-bollard barriers from 18’ to 30’ high
    • New and improved all-weather access roads
    • Perimeter lighting
    • Enforcement cameras
    • Other related technology
The border wall system deploys the right mix of personnel, technology, and infrastructure to meet the challenges of a dynamic border threat environment and ultimately achieve operational control of the border.

The results speak for themselves: illegal drug, border crossings, and human smuggling activities have decreased in areas where barriers are deployed. For example:

    San Diego Sector:

    • In one short 12 mile section in the San Diego Sector, the wall reduced CBP manpower requirements by 150 agents every 24 hours. That is approximately a $28 million return on investment per year in salaries and benefits. These agents were redeployed to fill resource gaps in other areas of the border -- further improving our security.
    • CBP’s San Diego Field Office continues to be a significant source of narcotics seizures. From FY 19 to FY 20, seizures of fentanyl, marijuana, and methamphetamine all increased, with meth seizures jumping at alarming rates in the past several years – demonstrating that the border wall is forcing drug smugglers to where we are best prepared to catch them – our ports of entry.
    Yuma Sector:

    • Illegal entries in areas with new border wall system plummeted over 87% in FY 20 compared to FY 19.
    • In FY 19, CBP deployed a temporary barrier, which it has replaced with a permanent system, at the Sanchez Canal, which resulted in illegal entries decreasing in this area by more than 1,000 per month.
    • In FY 19, in areas of older existing border fencing or barriers, Yuma Sector apprehended 12 large groups (over a 100 persons) compared to zero large groups in FY 20 with new border wall system.
      • Family Unit entries have decreased over 95%
        • FY 19: 51,961 vs. FY 20: 2,940
    RGV Sector:

    • In a section of RGV (Zone 1) apprehensions have decreased since the construction of the border wall system. This is a location that has never had any border infrastructure.
      • CBP has seen 79% decrease in apprehensions in this area (Zone 1) since the completion of border wall system.
      • CBP has seen a 26% decrease in narcotics seizures since the completion of border wall system in this area.
    • In another section of RGV, prior to construction of the border wall system it was common to see illegal aliens running across a heavily traveled road, putting themselves and members of the community at risk.
      • Smugglers are now forced to take their groups further west into areas that are less dense with brush and easier for CBP surveillance cameras to detect illicit activity.
    El Paso Sector:

    • El Paso Sector has experienced a significant reduction in drug and smuggling activities in areas where the new border wall system was built.
      • Most notably, in Zones 14 and 15 of the Santa Teresa (STN) AOR where apprehensions have decreased by 60% and 81% respectively when comparing the last half of fiscal year FY 20 to the first half of FY 20.
    • El Paso Station has experienced similar results from the new border wall in Zones 20 – 23, with a reduction in apprehensions of 70% during the same timeframe.
Of course the Democrats want to stop construction. The wall is limiting entry for their future dependents and potential voters. At least that is their thinking.

Now that you have the facts, what other ignorant drivel would you like to spew?

Both the libs here say, "I don't care about others as long as my kids are not exposed and I still get free stuff." Now I am not sure why I am not surprised.

    Which "lib" said that?

I supported @OUBubba 's experience with my own. I recognize there are a few very publicized cases within the right-wing blogosphere of boys competing in girls sports. I'm simply not concerned enough to treat it on the same level as a black man getting summarily executed by a police officer which statistically is much more prevalent.

Sad that you view an issue females have been pointing out for close to a decade now places us all in what you choose to label the 'right wing blogosphere.' Stands to reason...men have routinely ignored the concerns of women when it came to our rights being shat upon.

You both pointed out it really was not a problem for you due to the ages of your kids. PLEASE feel free to point out to the evidence of police officers "summarily" executing black men.

I believe in 2019 there were about 14 unarmed blacks killed by cops. I recall 13 deserved what they got because they were trying to run cops over with their cars, etc. I'm not sure if there are more than two males competing in women's sports, but I'm guessing that is actually more statistically significant than the black lies being thrown about and exaggerated purely for political gain.

I appreciate your perspective and also recognize that for some unknown reason transgendered people evoke a visceral reaction from you. With your recent sharing that you've been suspended by Twitter multiple times on this topic I'm going to let this sleeping dog lay.

I hope you also understand that simply because this is visceral to you doesn't mean it's anything more than an edge case in the pantheon of worldwide concerns to me.

It has nothing to do with the AGES of my kids but rather showing RECENT personal experience. I live in the world of liberals many here fear and hate I haven't seen a single biologically male kid playing a female sport. That's a fact whether you choose to believe it not. I'm not saying there aren't examples somewhere but it's not a pervasive problem. Ironically, our children don't think twice when they meet a transgendered peer, nor a homosexual one. They don't fear them or worry about being raped. What shouldn't be a surprise, the handful I'm familiar with have zero interest in competing in sports at all. Their fear of the lockerroom is much greater than those around them.

On the execution of black men I'd simply ask whether we give police the powers of law enforcement, judge and jury. If not, then you should agree that no black man, or criminal regardless of color, should ever be harmed absent immediate threat to the LEO. I'm sure we agree on that fundamentally but the "immediate threat to the LEO" is a scale that we likely fall on different ends.

Being suspended by Twitter should qualify you for a medal.

This board is not about your personal experiences, which are statistically insignificant.

Anybody who fights with a police officer risks being shot. Liberals like to make it a racial thing while many more white people are shot by police each year.
