CO2 is plant food. More in the air makes plants grow faster and bigger. Would be a big boon to farmers and gardeners like myself.

    What do we call them?
    Venusi?
    Vumans?
    Venetians?
    Veni?
    Vidi?
    Vici?

Whatever we do call them, you can bet they are to get mad about how we pronounce it and call us racists - just like Kamalta

Without climate change, Chicago would still be under a sheet of ice.

Without humans burning hydrocarbons the level of CO2 would have decreased to the point where plants couldn't grow. We would have all died. Burning fossil fuels saved life on planet earth.

The other alternative is massive volcanic activity to increase CO2 level (CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, precipitated as CaCO3, and folds into the mantle). Without volcanoes there would be no CO2 (or very little) in the atmosphere before human life evolved. Of course massive volcanic activity if it were to happen today would kill a lot of humans.

What I am talking about is that the process of calcification was overwhelming any CO2 release from volcanic activity. Without humans burning hydrocarbons and releasing CO2 over the last 100 years, we would be dangerously close to death of all life on earth.

Yes, which is why I used “massive” as a qualifier to volcanic activity.

The Biden administration will 'work on three fronts' to combat climate change

“The United States will work on three fronts to promote ambition, resilience, and adaptation,” Kerry said at the inaugural Climate Adaptation Summit on Monday.

Bystander say's: Adaptation means, get ready for unreliable energy.

Second, the U.S. will “significantly increase the flow of finance including concessional finance through adaptation and resilience initiatives” and “work with bilateral and multilateral institutions to improve the quality of resilience programming.”

Bystander say's: Who authorized this spending? This will be a budgetary hole to drive that truck through it.

President Biden has made fighting climate change a top priority of his administration,” Kerry said. “We have a president now.... who leads, tells the truth, and is seized by this issue. … [and] knows that we have to mobilize in unprecedented ways to meet a challenge that is fast accelerating.”

Bystander say's: We are to believe a politician tells the truth. We must trust him. He is honest. This is Joe Biden we're talking about.

“In the United States, we spent $265 billion in one year for three storms, just cleaning up after those storms,” he said. “Last year, one storm, $55 billion. We reached the point where it is an absolute fact that it’s cheaper to invest in preventing damage, or minimizing it at least, than cleaning up."

Bystander say's: This is a stipulation that what Joe Biden is going to do will directly impact hurricanes. It's a sure thing. It's the rate of return, cost/value analysis and because Joe is honest, there will be no need to tie expenditures with results.

If Biden's administration really wanted to do a cost/benefit analysis of the overall economic impact of staying with fossil fuels vs transitioning to unreliables, they would find the world would be a much more wealthy place by sticking with fossil fuels, advancing technology, and cleaning up whatever messes occur due to extreme weather events.

Sugars great. A diet of 85% sugar is an ineffective long term strategy.

I agree with this. I think they should make it a 20-30 year goal to migrate toward renewables. Use smart fossil fuels. I think NG might be a good alternative but I’m not a scientist.

They are innumerate. They can’t count past 10. They also don’t understand that EV cars and the like are just as bad as internal combustion engines in terms of materials, energy etc. Just better marketing to morons.

I would submit that climate change creates opportunities to grow money supply. Faking CPI ratios in the calculation creates mis-information about what real inflation actually is in 2020-2021. Throw in the cantillon effect and opportunity to mis-appropriate the funds from stimulus payments and QE, ( ie: launder the money and kick it back to politicians). You have a global money laundering crime ring. Drug trade is likely involved as is gun running, (fast & furious). But yea it’s about the science!

Big Pharmaceutical Industry is minting trillions off of Covid 19. The great reset, remember?
I’m hedging all this! Life is great!
