My 2 cents - our players are much better off in the university setting for this than at home. They are going to be getting better care in Austin, generally, than they would be otherwise.
On campus, they will get regular testing and quick isolation/treatment when necessary Which players do you think would be in a better situation than this if they stayed wherever they were??
That's one owner at 25% capacity. I saw plenty with no fans. Most of them actually. You can't make it sound like every game had 100% fans and it had no affect on virus spread. Sounds to me they are saying not allowing fans and restricting fans worked in curbing the spread. So we should continue the level of fans the study relied upon.
Well, I'm hoping the vaccines put an end to all this stuff. Yes, some wanted no fans and most NFL games I saw had no fans. I also remember some saying herd immunity would be achieved by last October and the virus would subside. No such luck.
Depends. In places like NY which were hit hard, the surge last Nov-Jan was relatively mild. In places that didn’t get hit over the summer like the Midwest, they got hit hard. In Houston area, it was a mix of the two where the Nov-Jan surge was not as bad as the summer, but bad enough. Note Houston area basically has no lockdown now and cases are at a low level. I call that herd immunity. I admit it took longer than expected.
