Alvin Crow — born in the wrong state but got to Austin, Texas and stayed. Sahm considered him one of the greats, and played with him on stage frequently.

    Clifford Antone???

Whenever I wore an Antone t-shirt when traveling to visit my folks in North Carolina, I was always stopped to talk about Austin, etc. Apparently there were lots of folks from the 1970’s to the 90’s who visited Austin and loved it. Antone’s being one memory among others.

I remember G/M Steakhouse, as soon as you walked in the door that means you ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a coke.

G/M Steakhouse, where Gus had steaks so thick you could see through them.

Ah, but those burgers and shakes! And the humorous abuse!

(skip the steaks at that place)
