Kathy Valentine. — started in Austin before LA and the Go-Gos, and has done huge things to promote Texas/Austin women musicians in recent decades back in Austin Waylon — of course...! Linklater — of course..! Our very own Minister of Culture — Matthew McConaughey — of course ...!

Clifford Antone??? Whenever I wore an Antone t-shirt when traveling to visit my folks in North Carolina, I was always stopped to talk about Austin, etc. Apparently there were lots of folks from the 1970’s to the 90’s who visited Austin and loved it. Antone’s being one memory among others.
