Says studies have started on younger kids, from 6 month babies to 11 year olds.

I can’t imagine a momma giving it to a 6 month old, but I guess that’s just me.

My three kids all had 3 vaccines each x2 doses by the time they were 6 months old. I can't imagine mommas who don't do that on a regular basis.

You'll note there is no breakdown of age groups...it is entirely possible for an overall total to decrease while a spike in the suicides amongst youth have increased. Surely even an okie would understand this element of preliminary data.

Also of note is that the unintentional injury death tally is up close to 20K, and in the absence of overdose being in the top ten, would reasonably presume at least some overdoses fit into that category. It is not at all unheard of for suicide by overdose to be listed simply as overdose to avoid additional pain for the family (and to ensure the insurance pays out since suicide is often excluded for payout).

But those are vaccines that have actually had substantial testing and were for conditions that were actually harmful to adolescents...

Odd and fishy. Suicides are very often related to things such as financial distress, unemployment, feelings of isolation. Hard to believe that a year with high unemployment, loss of small business and life savings, students not being able to be around others, all results in a decrease in suicides.

But hey, maybe that's the suicide prevention strategy for the future - cause people to lose their jobs and their money, isolate them, and then they won't kill themselves.

Of course suicides must be down. They all died of Covid.

"We saw the number of calls to the national mental health crisis hotline in March 2020 was 891% higher than the year before"

    Yet suicides went down. Hmm....

Horns11, I am aware of the number of vaccinations to which the babies are subjected. In fact I feel bad for them when it’s time. But in my opinion that is not the same as getting this, a brand néw vaccine which, albeit rare, has shown some side effects in adults. I have a new granddaughter coming up to 3 months. No way I would encourage her parents to get her the vaccine. But I recognize that’s just my opinion.

Vaccinating anyone younger than 10 or 12 is somewhat insane unless they have an underlying condition. For some years, there was no flu shot for kids under 10 or so (don’t recall). So, if not needed for flu, why needed for covid?

Flu is worse than COVID in kids. I vaccinate my kids to flu not because I think they are at risk of dying from it, but because I don't want them to feel like **** resting in bed for a week and missing school/activities.

My company just issued a new workplace policy:
    - no masks if you are fully vaccinated
    - everyone back in office May 17
    - still keep social distancing regardless for time being.

That blows on a couple of counts...my building has largely been mask-free since last March. "Social distancing" was basically maintained in the conference room if we had a client and we did limit where in the building they could go.

And this is how we have functioned even with four people in the building having had a positive test during the past year...nobody had significant symptoms and two had NO symptoms.

As to the return to work...well, you may notice traffic is picking up on the roads ;) Oh, and gas prices are up substantially since the regime change.

Don’t know your profession Mc but it always seems to me the ‘6’ ft thing is hardest to do. But then again I have noticed in myself a tendency to be uncomfortable when strangers move too close now, d*** Covid.

Very interesting. I lost two friends to suicide that I I thought would never do that.

I think the social distancing is the easiest thing to do in our office. Hate the masks when going to the copier, coffee, or the bathroom

When all are vaccinated you can go in the raw.

I hugged a woman last Friday who tested positive on Sunday. Still didn’t get it. I think some people are just immune to it.

Asymptomatic and even pre-symptomatic transmissions are very low. You likely got a low dose at worse which your body was able to handle.

There is nothing stopping you from wearing a mask just like there is nothing stopping you from sponsoring.

Only thing I gleaned note worthy from that article is healthcare should continue to wear masks around patients.
I can only imagine how dangerous any pathogen would be to a child that grew up in a mask on culture. Their immunity would be zilch.

It is easy to manipulate data to show what you want it to. And how in the hell they would monitor colds is beyond me given how few people go to the doctor for that version of a coronavirus. And I know very few people who bother to go to the doctor for the flu either...

You didn't even read the study. In case you missed it, this study involved KIDS, not adults.

You've obviously never worked in a pediatrics clinic and dealt with hypochondriac moms and their 2 year olds.

Mask don't do anything! Masks haven't stopped the flu. Read about some virology!
