Sark will be a flop as our HC

You heard it here first (4/21/2021): Sark won't last more than 5 years before he's fired and most of us here will be glad about.



Don't look at me like that. I know what I'm talking about. He won't make it because I'm cursed!

I liked the hiring of Charlie; thought he was a good'un and would bring a tougher, relatable, more hands on approach. Nope! He didn't. And was fired after 3 years.

I really liked the hiring of The Hermanator; thought he was ready for the "next level," mature, seasoned-ish, enthusiastic. Nope! He wasn't. And was fired after 4 years.

I'm loving the hiring of Sark; haven't found an inkling of any negatives yet, only strong, very strong, positives. That means I'll be wrong again and he'll be fired after 5 years.

I'm so sorry, guys. Dangit! Why me?

It's all about recruitment and development. We say that over and over again. We know he has a killer offensive scheme and apparently he is able to set up elite prospects to be elite performers. I don't know how he is as a recruiter. He has some awesome game film from Alabama that should impress some folks. Hopefully this staff is as impressive in front of mom and Dad as they are during a game. But we know Sark was not Saban. And that Alabama machine showed it could plug in coordinators left and right like New England could plug in receivers because there's some magic going on over there. Did we bring some here? We'll see. The thing is, so many times people talk about their exposure to genius during the work career but in the end, they aren't the genius (see Charlie Weiss). They were there but did they really understand what was happening?

 

2003 and Lazy, Don't worry about it. After a few times I realized it was just ok. (Could it have been me? Nah....) She has a great personality.

 

The previous post was to relieve some of the tension I feel about Sark. To explain, I loved the Mack era. It fell off at the end but he did bring a National Championship. I'm not smart enough about football details and recruiting to know WHY the decline happened. I was happy about the hiring of Stong and giddy (yes, I wrote giddy) about Herman. Neither one panned out for various reasons. I want Sark, his staff and players to succeed. I want them to beat OU every year. I want them to be in the playoff picture. I want them in the National Title Game and to WIN that game. Too much to ask? No. Thanks for reading.

 

We went from No Gas All Brakes Charlie to a puny hybrid in Herman.

I am hopeful that the All Gas No Brakes Sark is the performance car we have been missing.

 

Hell, I’m straight, and I’d sleep with her if it would guarantee we win all the games!

 

I am hoping that the Charlie, Herman, Sark path ends up being like the McWilliams, Mackovick, Brown trio. Everybody liked Charlie and David but they just were out of their element, almost no one liked John or Tommy but they did clean up some of the mess created by their predecessors and set somewhat of a table for their successor, now if Sark can be the Mack in this analogy.......

 

I didn’t like Charlie when he was hired and he ended up being the worst HC in Texas football history.
I was on board with Herman, however I was wrong and freely admit it.

I am more than on board with Sark, I think he is the real deal. I like the coaching staff he has hired and his recruiting. I think we have a good one. I dont see him making excuses or being triggered.

 

But do you see him giving the double bird to the LHN cameras when he thinks (wrongly) they are off?












Yeah, me neither.

 

Feel the same curse, my youngest is 14 and a die hard but has seen only mediocrity and bad (too young in 09).

I started really paying attention to UT football as Akers came on board.
So it was a good 30 years or so before I saw a MNC and even Mack pissed me off half the time.

I was hopeful about Charlie.
I was skeptical about Herman.
I am all in with Sark.
