No a LeBron hater.....the article said he will have a LeBron like impact. LeBron is the biggest flopper this side of MLS.

If there is a bigger racist in the world than lebron, cant imagine it. He has said crap like this past week many times over the years. The woke media just never have the cajones to call it out. They still dont but most people are sick of this woke crap and I am hoping there is a tremendous backlash. Thank goodness Austin is so conservative (lol....kidding!!!)

So glad I came to a football recruiting board to learn that people think Lebron is racist.

    That’s what you learned?

I learned that people don’t understand racism.

You mean "real" racism or the accusation coming out of the mouths of LIBERALS wherein whether you're white or black (ask Tim Scott), if you don't parrot their narrative's talking points, you're racist!

And everyone wonders why our Joe Fan is no longer posting. Ridiculous unwarranted non-recruiting related garbage. I wash he would make it back, but certainly don’t blame him with this kind of BS.

24/7 posted a little background on DE DJ Hicks of Katy Morton Ranch recently, and his connections to Texas.

Hicks grew up going to UT games because his father coached WR Roderick Bernard at Houston Sharpstown, and DT Jordan Elliott at Houston Westside.

There's obviously a long way to go with him being a sophomore, but Sark has taken the recruiting lead on this one and Hicks should be in Austin multiple times this summer.

24/7 believes Texas has done a great job in the early stages of Cook's recruitment.

They have conducted several virtual academic presentations for his mother, and Chris Gilbert (Texas' new Director of High School Relations) played high school ball with his father and they remain close friends.

Course i'm not an expert or anything but it doesn't seem like he has the break away speed of a receiver ranked that high. He catches the ball well when contested, I noticed that but its a highlight reel of success only. If he's not blazing fast then I could see him ranked lower than 150.

For a WR, the most important "ability" is availability. The 2nd most important "ability" is catchability. Speed is meaningless if you can't stay on the field and catch the damn ball.

A recruit from Bixby? Coaches have to overcome Jim Ross and the family of Cowboy Bill Watt. Bixby was also the birthplace of Butch Davis, who while not working for Arkansas, has enough stroke to be allowed to build a house at The Pinnacle, something the last 3-4 HCs in Fayetteville could not do.

So a WR needs to be available and has to be able to catch a football. Hmmm, thanks for sharing i never knew that.

Thanks for the sarcasm. My point remains, that speed in a WR, in and of itself, tends to be a bit overvalued.

Understand what you are saying, but if you have equal route runners with equal catchability, the faster one will get the nod.

No difference between slow and short receivers and fast and big receivers. All things equal the fast big guy gets the nod.

Speed is a tool. Like all tools it can be applied well, or mis-applied.
