The Horns host Texas Southern at the Disch as they head into finals week. With no weekend series this is the only baseball for the week. Looks like Kolby Kubichek will get start as he is now the number four starter with Hanson cementing his place as Sunday starter. Kubichek is good enough to be a weekend starter on most squads so Texas has four legit starting pitchers which will be huge come tournament time. An excellent point--and this could be a real difference maker. Kubichek is a top 3 starting pitcher for just about any other team in the country. But we gotta go with Hansen in the top 3 at this point. Hansen has had a hot heavy hand here in the hind half of the season.
I must say I was disappointed to hear that story about Kam Fields who evidently thinks he is doing something about racial injustice by transferring to TSU after getting his degree at UT. Look at me! Im sticking it to the man by playing 1 year at an HBCU! (After getting my degree from the man at UT). I really liked that guy when he was at UT but hes just another leftist virtue signaler.
He was not good enough to play here on top of all this. Never could find the plate. Glad he bailed. He is at the baseball program, that’s best for his skills.
Kam was given every opportunity to succeed at the Univ of Texas... Sometimes at the expense of the team .Just could not perform at this level... He also struggled at the plate in my opinion. I wish him luck going forward...
If a student athlete feels the University of Texas is a hopelessly racist institution, the perfect solution is for them to transfer rather than stay here and create dissension. I wish more would do it. I wish Kam luck too, by the way.
