Usually, someone starts this thread, but I don't see it yet, so I will be happy to start it. It is 100 days until the September 4, 2021 opener...
OK, it's on. I'm playing this year. I'm over my Apathy-itis from last year. Remember, if you can - add the name for the player in your picture. 99 to go!
Hopefully, no one on this board needs the name of the player with the "100" on the side of his helmet. Hint: He was 20-0 as a starter from 1968-1969/January 1970 and his heroics helped win the 1969 Cotton Bowl, the "Game of the Century" and the 1970 Cotton Bowl . The suggestion does make sense as we go through some of the other players. Good idea!
I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm for this post, but I don't believe this is actually Oscar Giles. While Oscar Giles did wear uniform no. 95, he played at UT from 1987 to 1990, well before the Big XII began play in 1996. Thus, the Big XII emblem on the jersey does not match up. I will post a photo of what I believe is to be Oscar Giles during his playing days.
You’re right. My bad. I guess you can’t believe everything you see on the internet! I’ll edit my post. Thanks.
