All year long I have had the absolute confidence that if Texas could get a National Seed there was no way the Horns wouldn’t win at home and get to the CWS. It proved out with five wins in five post season games at the Disch and the Horns are headed home to Omaha.:hookem:

Yes, Horns definitely have the pitching staff to get it done this trip... with some decent batting support...

This is by far the best Texas team since 2009 and they have the best starting rotation since 2004. It's all about showing up and showing out in Omaha though and the proving starts next Sunday! Pierce built this team to win and they have done just that, cant give that guy enough credit for what he did after 2019 in getting a team that last year was in great shape before the covid cancellation and this year just never stopped getting better after that lost weekend in Arlington. I am excited to see what they can do now on the biggest stage of them all.

Good points FWHorn.. All you can ask of a coach and his staff is to keep the team improving thru out the yr...I was in Omaha in 18 and that team was over achieving most of the year... A good team but was over matched against Arky and Florida... Also hopefully the weather will be better as it rained and delayed games everyday of the first two or three days of the tournament...

Its also nice to see Arkansas eliminated ... That first game against them in Omaha and the one in Arlington was a beating.. I have seen several games against them in football over the yrs and even been to Fayettenam a couple of times but i swore after Arlington this year i would never attend a game involving them again...The worst fans i been around and i have attended a lot of games in football and baseball over the last 45 yrs..

In the Super Regional era, Texas has now played in 11 super regionals and is 10-1 overall with a 21-7 record in games.

    2000 Penn State 2-0
    2002 Houston 2-1
    2003 at Florida State 2-0
    2004 Vanderbilt 2-0
    2005 at Ole Miss 2-1
    2009 TCU 2-1
    2010 TCU 1-2
    2011 Arizona State 2-1
    2014 Houston 2-0
    2018 Tennessee Tech 2-1
    2021 USF 2-0

Horns are 8-1 in home super regionals and Texas has never lost a road super regional, of course helps when only played two of them. Texas' only loss in a super regional was 2010 when the NCAA ridiculously under seeded TCU and set up that super regional matchup.
