I missed that for the wuhan tag.

That said, Republicans won more actual seats. Right? Dems picked up a few key senate races and the worst president of my lifetime list in an electorally close election.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of thongs on anybody. I'll admit that they can look sexy on a girl who's butt is particularly appealing. However, if a woman wears that all day, it is eventually going to ride up her crack. It's almost impossible for it not to, and that's just kinda gross. I don't care how nice her *** might be.

I have already had Covid and I have not worn a mask for about a month. I know how my body reacts to it, if I get again I will won’t go out.

I just wondered how many other viruses are out there or that have been out there that I have caught and my body has fought. Viruses are out there.

    ALL THE ******* TIME!!!!

The reason covid was deadly was due to its novelty. Younger people respond to novel viruses better than old folks. Old folks do better against existing viruses (like the pig flu) because they have seen them before. No one wanted to go down this road of thought because it leads back to gain of function work done in the lab.

He is, but he's not gone for good. These discredited "experts" like him basically disappear for a few months while things blow over. Then the media will pretend nothing happened and take him seriously again. That's what happened with Neil Ferguson over here. He's on BBC News and taken seriously by media outlets again as if nothing happened. It would be like if Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert just took a vacation for 3 months and then everyone took them seriously as religious leaders again and never mentioned their shenanigans again.

Or if there were 26 allegations of sexual assault and more than a handful of them said, 'he made his move and grabbed my genitals and stuck his tongue down my throat and he was on my like an octopus'. Then, smash cut to "locker room talk" where the perp says, "here's my thing, I move on them like a *****". Then, he won an election. And almost won another one...Like that?

PS: And the people that voted for him are pissed that a journalist who accidentally didn't turn his computer off when prepping for "self love" is back out in the light of day with a much smaller voice? Like that?

Allegations against Trump or absolute fact? If he did all those things, then you're absolutely correct.

How do you feel about the accusations against Biden? Seems nobody on the Left cares.

    What are the standards?

And for the record I don't care if that guy masturbated and got caught. I feel sorry for him.

Allegations that match "I moved on her like a *****". That's an effective confession. But, crickets, crickets, crickets....after the Russians released the emails 45 minutes later and the right was obsessed over pizza orders.

I wouldn't want my daughter with him.

How many men brag about sex?

I guess Obama was a gentleman. Trump was not. Was he a sexual predator? In this political climate the answer is definitely yes. The goal posts have been moved. Robert Byrd was in the KKK. I guess that type of forgiveness as displayed back then by the Left is no longer available. JFK was a world-class philanderer; but was he a gentleman about it? Did he pressure women? Who would know? No matter what, he will always be a hero: "You're no Jack Kennedy."

The goal posts have been moved in our culture. When I was in my formative years driving and drinking was gently frowned upon. It is more than that now. Many careers are lost if you get a DUI. I think marital fidelity is similar. I'm not saying that people don't cheat now, I'm saying it's not as prevalent and there are consequences more now than there were in the 70's and 80's. Empowering women in the workplace helped move that.

I have no problem with the new standards for today. I don't like the retroactive application to our history.

I can egotistically say that I have always drawn the eyes of females when I walk into the room. Believe it or not. But I've always been huge on consent. The idea that someone does not want to be with me is enough for me to go away. Consent makes things so much better. I remember the days when men thought that a NO only meant, not now or keep trying. Now it can be seen as sexual harassment. I grasped that concept years ago. At work (and I've had relationships with women that I worked with) the woman has to make the first move with me. I never broke that self-imposed rule. I didn't want any problems. Now that I'm married it's moot, but the rule still remains.

But let's talk about retroactive rule-making. I mentioned this on another thread. If white men of antiquity are to be judged by today's standards, then can we not begin to judge Europe of 1619 by today's standards? Can we judge the Germany of 1939 when they attacked Pearl Harbor :) by today's standards? Why aren't we judging China harshly when we know they are a communist nation? What are we actually trying to accomplish here? Is it only certain white men of America (including the ancestors who waved and died for the flag in the Civil War; the same flag that Macy Gray now wants to change)?

I say it's all about political power and wealth transfer. And if that is the game, then Trump is well qualified to play.

Let communists be communists. Strands of socialism (social security, Medicare, etc.) aren't a gateway drug to communism.

    Ha...

Look, I'm not arguing about SS and Medicare. I'm 62 and I damn sure expect it all to be there because I'm ENTITLED due to my long history of paying into the system.

I'm talking about reparations. I'm talking about wanting to change the national anthem and the flag. I'm talking about how the mere statement of supporting the police is now considered controversial. I'm talking about all the initiatives to give the people enough money to create the feudal society fed upon by elites. There is nothing about that in my mind that resembles the IDEA of America.

The flag is the icon for the ideal. I do not look upon that flag as a symbol of the idiots who entered the capital. That flag stands for the words, "All men are created equal" and I believe in that. Just because someone of ill repute waved the flag in the name of the wrong standards doesn't change it to me.

It's the same with the Bible. Just because Swaggart and Baker were outed as charlatans doesn't mean that the Bible is untrue.

I feel I have the personal strength to not allow those types of people to change the truths that I hold to be self-evident.

Bruh, Democrats like the flag too. We like the anthem. There are some fringes that want to tear at the history of that due to semi-valid historical discrepancies. They are the fringe. I'm not anti reparations as much as I'm a realist and see it as impractical. I mean I'm pro-lake house, river abode and houseboat for my personal recreational tools. I can't afford all of them.

It's fine to make that comparison, but there's a big difference. Those who chose Trump believed there was a binary choice between one low-life and another low-life. That isn't true of those who still take Daszag and Ferguson seriously. They could easily find other experts to listen to.
But again, the comparison is fine if you choose, but if you take these discredited goofballs seriously, don't claim to be better than those who took Trump seriously. (Of course, yours truly has the credibility to attack both.)

I always thought you were in that reasonable Democrat side but that you were provoked further to the Left by Trump. We need more voices of moderation. We need, "We can do better" when it comes to our representation. The cult of personality surrounding Trump is very disappointing to me. It was almost the same type of emotional reaction we see from the far Left; latent pent-up frustrations that needed a leader.

I don't need a leader for my emotions. I want a smart person who is rational and the voice of reason.

But what choices do we have?

I like the pro-lake stuff... that's where I hope to end up in a few years and I'll pass on my political commentary and crotchety rage over hypocrisy to someone else.

I'm more moderate than I may let on. And, yes, I'm triggered by orange people with small hands who raw dog porn stars and then pose for pictures with Bibles when you can still smell the tear gas.

I think what happened is the left attacking the sitting President every day. The economy, jobs numbers were during great. Yeah you didn’t understand him and he was mean but he kept America first. And I don’t care about your feelings.

Now the right will attack, Yes more moderation is needed, will it happen?

As long as the economy as a whole was doing well, I really don't give a damn. At least DJT was not actively seeking to DESTROY America and all she stands for (like 10% for the Big Guy is doing).
