A couple of his recovery shots in the middle holes made up for some bad driving.

Cool to see three former Longhorns in the top five (at least for now).

I'm behind on the coverage a bit, but I just caught where Dan Hicks noted that with Spieth and Frittelli in the next to last group, you have two Texas Longhorns in that group.

NBC's coverage has always and continues to suck. Poor audio, and the ball is very difficult to follow. Can't stand "Zinger", Koch, et al. Feherty used to be funny, but his schtick has worn thin.

Birdie to go six under in his last eight holes from what they were saying...SpiethMode is indeed activated at one stroke back of the leader. I believe he is on to 15 now...he's got a shot as long as Ooustie like meltdowns are avoided...or worse, a VandeVelde-like collapse.

Those two bogies on 17 and 18 ended up killing him. That said, great round to finish 2nd.

    Hes baaaaaaaack! :smile1:

3 Longhorns finish in the top 10 (2 in the top 5). Not bad seeing how they were playing on a course that doesn't measure up to some munis in Texas.

2 Longhorns anchoring the Golf Channel studio shows. And, Chamblee picked Morikawa because of his ball striking.

One shot back of the winner and degending champ.

Hot, dry, few trees. Tour pros dream come true. Thought early on we might see 30 under.

Jordan battled at the Byron Nelson today and came very close ... one stroke would have tied it. Gosh, I wanted him to win it today!

A great young professional and a great representation for The University of TEXAS.

As he finished his round on Sat. and was walking off, did you see him give that ball out of his bag to that young boy!?

I was was very impressed by that that.

Spieth is in the mix in Mobilhoma...projected cut has moved from +3 at the start of the day to +4, and Spieth is even on the day through 5, +2 for the tournament.

The other I cannot help but to hope makes the cut for sheer entertainment is Daly...who made the turn at +3 on the event, +1 for the day. Yesterday, it was a card with a +2 on the back nine, which is where he started today. Unless he implodes on the last nine holes, he may actually slide inside the cut line and be around 50th going to the weekend...

Damn...spoke too soon on Daly. Implosion on the final nine holes and misses the cut by probably four strokes. Tiger is at the cut line. Spieth is still in by two strokes...has about five holes to go at last check.
