BR was such an incredible warrior on that 2005 Defense. I sometimes think he does not get enough credit for his contributions and work ethic. Went on to start / play very well for the Vikings and I think is now retired...

Great pic, and what a Cotton Bowl victory!

On the field, Ole Miss was the Bama of that time period. (Not quite as dominant, but you get the picture…)

I utilized this guy a lot on my EA Sports game, but Mack wouldn’t listen to any of my suggestions.

… scores on a two-yard run in the third quarter of the ‘64 Cotton Bowl, securing the 1963 natty; at least in the eyes of Navy coach Wayne Hardin.

    Nothing complicated. Just DuckDuckGo.
And Hideo Gump, Jr. is a Firesign Theater character. I’m a fan from way back.
Texas Legacy Support Network is also a great website.

California running back, right? Well obviously you mean:

Darron Norris (Oceanside HS, El Camino CA) on a beautiful 1985 New Years Eve during a horrendously bad Bluebonnet Bowl. Things didn’t get much better my next time in Rice Stadium in 1994.

    D’Onta Foreman, Texas City.
    upload_2021-8-2_9-9-5.jpeg
AA 2016. The “other” Foreman brother recruited by Charlie in 2014. Broke a nine-year drought by becoming the first ‘Horn to rush for over a thousand since Jamaal in 2007. Rushed for 2,028 yards and 28 touchdowns that year as a junior winning the Doak Walker Award.
Tied with Earl for the most 100 yard games in a season (11). Ninth on the list for career rushing yards on the 40.
There are two backs in Longhorn history who have eclipsed 2K yards in a season; one being Ricky in 1998 and the other being D’Onta in 16. Considering the team he played on in 2016 (5-7 record), that’s an amazing accomplishment.
