I'm devastated. Oh wait, I don't measure myself against the gentleman that singlehandedly pushed West Mall to a level of partisanship not previously seen. I'm not speaking to any recruiting info he shared but merely his toxic presence on the West Mall. If you hailed that derision then yes, you do fall into that "cheerleader" group. Is this @Garmel by chance?

If you think JF had a toxic presence then you're more deluded than I thought. If you want to look at a toxic presence look at yourself in the mirror.

You can disagree with Seattle but he's never ******, or toxic. I can be. :)

Husker is much more toxic than you are. Hell, I never blocked LongestHorn and he was the worst partisan on here.

He's a smart guy. What I see as reasonable people tire of :brickwall: with a majority who will not debate reasonably and go the way of all things. crockett, longest horn, horn11. These are not "liberals", they're simply not right wing idealogues and if you post things that are reasonable you're treated like you're ******* AOC. I steered into the curve and have become less reasonable in my political postings.

For the Johny come lately crowd the West Mall didn't start in 2010 when @Joe Fan joined. We had existed for 10 years prior with some very insightful and deep level of debate. The sides didn't always see eye to eye and often verbally sparred but still the board wasn't as partisan. In fact, there weren't 2 sides but many.

@Joe Fan joined and quickly became a meme-sharing conduit between 4Chan and West Mall. It cheapened the West Mall, removed the deep conversations in favor of pithy 1-liners. In some ways he foreshadowed the rise of Trump and media commentators like Tucker Carlson...intellectually vapid people and supporters whose sole goal is to mock the opposition. Yes, those same people exist on the left too.

That's not to say that @Joe Fan wasn't smart because he was. He was smart enough to jump to insults and a cheer section to avoid his half-truths being questioned ostensibly realizing that his claims wouldn't hold up. The few times he did choose to debate he showed his chops but invariably when shown facts that debase his claims he'd turn to slurs. Unfortunately, those slurs became the norm here which was an evolution that he popularized.

They're liberals but not to the extent to the hard left of the party. It goes both ways because many of you libs here do not debate reasonably either. If we come up with an opinion that doesn't follow the MSM narrative it has to be a Q conspiracy theory to you guys. I put up with that **** when I discussed FBI malfeasance during the Trump investigation and I have dealt with it discussing election fraud.

"FBI Malfeasance" is 1 Justice Dept Lawyer who falsified a FISA application (and went to jail) and a claim of entrapment of Flynn which a federal judge criticized the DOJ but didn't agree there was any legal wrongdoing. The squawking doesn't remotely match the evidence, specifically the voluminous amount of convictions and plea deals by the Mueller investigative team and subsequent handoffs to the DOJ. It's the equivalent of a Kansas Jayhawk fan claiming victory as the better program than UT because they won in overtime in 2016.

You think he did this on his own? We have evidence of what they were planning. Strzok let the cat out of the bag. You need to check out what Horowitz said. He said there are problems with the FBI from top to bottom. He recommended all of the top brass be further investigated. Read his report. To come up with this statement before the Durham investigation is finished is ridiculous.

I'm going on the evidence we have not the evidence you think we have.

Horowitz said that the conversations were biased but there was ZERO evidence that investigation decisions were influenced by the bias. You can't cite Horowitz to save your projection and not include the full context.

About impossible to prove bias. However, Strozk said that WE will go after Trump and we have an insurance plan. Can you put 2 and 2 together? Horowitz claimed a lot of malfeasance on the department. I think we'll get a few indictments from Durham but with the corrupt liberal nature of Washington they'll be punished about as much as the Justice Dept lawyer did, which is next to nothing.

Justice Lawyers/Investigators go on what they can prove. They couldn't prove Trump collusion with Russia. I accept that. It seems you never accept what can be proven and always have another conspiracy behind why what you believe never came to fruition. The "FBI Malfeasance" is just he latest example. You've already claimed victory then when called on that bluff you say wait until the Durham investigation results then add the argument get-out-of-jail-free card that if it doesn't happen it will be because of the "corrupt liberal nature of Washington".

Just to inject a little reality here, the election was last year and the certified winner was that mental case who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania. The previous mental case who lived there is in Florida chanting spells over a cauldron of bat innards and plotting his return. His wife is out shopping.

In three more years we will have candidates even less appealing than these two losers. Kamala maybe makes it to the starting line because she is a woman of sorts and a person of some color but maybe some other person makes it who is more appealing to POC, lesbians, gays, trannies, and other assorted grievance mongers. Maybe it will be the gat toothed whiner from Georgia. She has a UT degree you know. The sane democrats will close their eyes and vote the party and not the man.

The republicans will nominate either the cauldron geek again or some other geek who passes muster with him and the religiously demented and the racists (there are a few of them) and the usual tin foil hatters. The sane republicans will close their eyes and vote the party, not the man.

When the votes are counted and recounted a "WINNER" will be named and we will go into full conspiracy mode again.

    I LOVE THIS ZHIT

Sound policy. Unfortunately, you have some on the West Mall running wild with claims that @OUBubba and I are the ones reporting. In fact, @Joe Fan himself claimed that. We are on record as saying that we did not report him. If other less vocal readers reported him then they had their reasons.

I've never wished any health issues on @Joe Fan nor any single poster on Hornfans. If he truly is ill I hope he fully recovers, quickly. I'm certain that @OUBubba would agree.

A conspiracy theory? We just had one of the perpetrators basically walk after being caught red handed. Nothing would happen to any of those indicted.

Nope. The Dept. Justice lawyer. A slap on the wrist. Btw, did you notice how the entire echelon of the FBI was fired during this event? Especially McCabe for "lack of candor".

I think this thread needs to be retired. No matter the views of those in here who did not like him he is not here to defend himself.
Maybe the OP will have the grace to have it taken down.

Wait...a Trump admin wanted to fire all the leadership of the FBI? Next you'll tell me Trump wanted to fire the AG too and their deputies. That's surely an indictment on all those that were let go, right?

There was likely some that needed to go but using the Trump Admin firing them as an example may be be best. By all accounts nearly every decision Trump made was political in nature, not job performance.
