actually, this question gets to the heart of my chief complaint about much of this BS. "The South" gets lectured all the time by "The North" about how backwards our policies and thinking are. The basic assertion is that the north has always been the leader on this and that they've always been the beacon of POC hope. If that is the case, then why are POC no better off in the North where all the good/smart people are and where many of the public offices are held by POCs. and where many of the communities have embraced this white guilt and affirmative action/quota way of thinking. But we don't see "success" in these cities, even though they have taken all of these steps. In many cases, we actually see the opposite impact.
I wouldn't take Ted Cruz' claims at face value because we don't know how he was translating the data. African American % of state population: Georgia: 31.5% Mississippi: 38% Connecticut: 10.72% Here was registration and voter turnout by ethnicity for all three states in 2020. Mississippi clearly does well registering AA. Connecticut on a much smaller AA base surpassed GA in AA voter turnout.
There aren't as many AA voters in the North at the State level. Only in local races (i.e. Detroit) do the AA #'s get high enough to be a big swing vote. Nationally, they only make up ~12-13% of the demographic. Throw in the infamous 1 in 5 AA Men have felonies on their record and the number of voting eligible AA's shrinks much more base on some States that bar felons from voting.
I will stipulate that there is often more to the story than the soundbite but my general assertion is still valid I think. Routinely pols and activist from northern jurisdictions like to pretend that their approach to POC is so much more right and just and yet, the numbers just don't support them. If the north and dems were so correct then why isn't there a huge gulf in black attainment between the North and South. If NY, IL and CA are so good at this, why aren't their scores on any of the social, education, etc better?

I know but the reasons are economic. Australia is cancelling their Diesel Sub order with France in favor of our Nuclear Subs. It's entirely likely that Germany has suppliers for those French Subs. If the EU is pissed it's because the US just stole their sales order, an order that will be $billion$. This isn't any different than Airbus - Boeing sales competition that have been going on for decades.

She does have nice knockers especially for her frame, but honestly, she's pretty fit all the way around. There are a lot of things to justifiably rip her about, but when a conservative guy acts like she's unattractive in appearance, I think it hurts his credibility. Putting the shoe on the other foot, I'll bet Switzer can admit that Lauren Boebert has a nice bod, as much as he dislikes her politics. (Of course, in Oklahoma Rosa DeLauro starts looking good, but we'll set that point aside for now.)
This is very true and often for reasons that have nothing to do with wanting to avoid the face. Having said that, does AOC talk politics during the deed? I would hope she knows better but hard to say. She takes herself extremely seriously.
What does this mean exactly? It sounds like they can't account for where all the money has gone but they are still trying hard. Is that what others get from this?
