He seems ok with the loss just minutes after the game. It's cool he's a nice guy, maybe he's a better fit at Rice or New Mexico State than at TEXAS

I saw that interview on the LHN after the game. I recall games at much lower levels of play where I was crushed I didn't play better or we missed an opportunity to win a game in hand. This guy was like 'well God loves me and I'm cool'. Seriously? He wasn't affected in the least

I'm not calling him a loser. I'll state the obvious, though. He's no winner

    Yeah, well...

I'd just like to say I'm truly blessed. Ou running backs ran all over my *** today, but it's all cool. I may not sound like I give a **** about texas football, and you may be right. I don't sound very concerned about blowing a 3 score 4th quarter lead, now do i.?

Blowing a 3 score lead isn't "remotely close to greatness" either

He mentioned that OU started running counter and we just could 't stop it and darn it we have to clean up those mistakes.

That loser talk. OU runs the counter every game. Every other team has played the counter better than Ojomo and his friends have. That's an embarassment.

That's the spirit!! Now if only omojo and other players had that kind of fire in the belly we wouldn't have blown a 3 score lead in the 4th quarter. Please report to coach PK first thing in the morning

After the Arkansas game, Sark said in his press conference that the team needed to hate losing so that it hurt so bad that they would never miss out on opportunities to avoid the sting of losing.

Then the team echoed the same comments during the week before Rice. They all said, we all hate to lose, etc.

Moro Ojomo just proved to me that the team doesn't hate losing. The biggest rivalry. They lose in embarassing fashion and none of the interviews seemed like they hated to lose to OU. I think I hate losing to OU more than them.

I know this is hard for some of the emotionally sensitive types to grasp but it's possible to hate losing and be a "winner" and also not be foaming at the mouth in fury and outrage after the fact
Some people are actually able to deal with things in a thoughtful way and - gasp! - get better from it
Peace and love bros, bring on okie state

This is why the games are played and what I love about college football ( and yet hate when UT) gets the L. Anything can happen, Nick Saban is on line 1 with Coach O patiently waiting on 2. Every year is crazy.

I’m not up at 5am puking my guts out nor am I in a coaching office at midnight , so I struggle to cast stones. As much as I hate the L, it pales in comparison to what the players and coaches feel. I do not question that.
But to show maturity in a L is good.
What is better, and please ..for crying out loud this is rhetorical, for a player to quit? To place blame? To enter the portal? I say, good on Moro.

When I saw this Saturday- he lifted my spirits. Sue me.

Yeah, almost 2 full days after the game ended, you are still here talking **** about the "emotionally sensitive" who were pissed in the heat of the moment 2 days ago.

So, who is emotionally challenged....er, um, sensitive here?

I love how you unintentionally juxtapose a direct, condescending insult with a hollow wish for "peace and love bros". Self-affirming sanctimony at its finest!

    Thank you Driver....

And I understand my response to these comments is also emotional and not thoughtful, productive.

We're all pissed off about this thing.

But when I read comments like these from supposed "winners" who have a thing or two to teach the likes of Moro Ojomo, I can't help it. ******* ridiculous.

It just reminds me of the type of people at work who you can't trust to work on a project in a team setting because the first thing they do when there is any adversity is start talking **** about their peers, leadership, etc.

They are the losers. Always. Winners don't always win. But the above type, they ALWAYS lose.

Well, kinda reminds me of the type of people at work who you can't trust to work on a project in a team setting because they continue to make the same mistakes, do nothing to correct said mistakes and then unsurprisingly fail (again). But hey, at least after they fail (again), they engage in thoughtful introspection and wish everyone peace and love.

You ever work in a "team" before and fail? if you have, and you thought the blamed lied everywhere else but you, I might have you pegged.

Oh please. You ever work on a "team" before that continues to fail, does nothing to address deficiencies and then wonders why they continue to fail? If so, I might have you pegged. This is fun, let's keep going.

sorry, i made that personal... We're all pissed.

To go further with the work analogy, we have been having massive re-orgs to address our failures for almost 15 years now.
There has been 100% turnover of players AND coaches, all the way up to the top at least 3 x by now.

I would say that people are being held to account in this scenario. Maybe not always the right people. Whatever we are doing is not working.

I get that it feels good to run these guys down. I am going to wait and see how this new staff and set of players responds before I start doing that.

Good work analogy. I'm going to disagree that "it feels good to run these guys down". I don't think anyone likes it, in fact we hate it. We all want so badly for them to succeed! Have a good day folks (zero sarcasm intended).

Coaches preach to these players to not let one loss become two.
Game's over, let it go and concentrate on the next.
Ojomo is saying exactly what the coaches would expect from him whether he believes it or not.

I was sitting in the stands. 4 hour game with sun bearing down and Temps in the mid 90s standing most of the game. I was tired and sore and from great heights I could see the same in the players. As a football fan I might prefer the Hacksaw Reynolds attitude ...he sawed his car in half after a disappointing loss. As a caring human , I'll not begrudge a player mental and emotional health.

Okay, okay, time out here. Let's clear something up. Do we respect the sentiment here? Yes. I think the point by some is while that is all fine and dandy, would we expect that from great players through the years?

Do we not see that it just comes across as ho-hum, aw shucks, gee whiz we lost to our hated rival. They're so good.

I mean, come on. This is precisely why OU dominates Texas year in and year out, for the most part, for the better part of the last 4 decades. They would be spitting mad and either refuse an interview or say they are spitting mad.

Edit: Does it mean he's not or can't be a great player? No.

LOOK EVERYONE! We're not pissed because Texas lost, at least I'm not. After all, I picked gooner u to win. What we're so pissed off about is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in a game Texas shoulda won, but blew it with stupid decision making.

I thought it was a class statement. No vitriol, just facts. Texas' defense can't stop a basic running play.
