I’ve never been so angry about a game in all of my years of being a fan! I know that the players want to win worse than the fans, blah blah….

A huge halftime lead literally pissed away!

    A few (obvious) observations:
    - Physically not ready.

    - O-line play is abysmal. Casey had very little time to throw, and even so had nearly 400 yards and 5 TDs. When the skill players are on the ground after a play and the lineman are standing up with their hands on their hips- that needs to be called out. The center cannot flinch so many times. Guys are confused on who they are supposed to cover. If the line can’t learn and jell, then get some players who want it and can get the job done!

    - D does not apply pressure. Why play soft on a third and long that ends up being a TD? While OU brought down some “50-50 plays” the D consistently gave up too many big plays against a freshmen QB who didn’t even play his last year of high school due to COVID! Missed tackles and very few blitzes.

    - Special teams. A tale of two cities. Blocked kick good. Bringing the ball out of the end zone three times, not so much…

It's a tough loss but this is year one in building on Herman's 4 year run of winning seasons and winning bowl games. Ou's been recruiting very well especially on offense and it showed today. Sarkisian will have (and already shows signs of having) equally potent offenses....

Royal had proven himself with a Title, and was like 10-2 vs the Sooners at that point.

In a weird way all this anger and angst shows how incredible Sark is
No one on here or elsewhere thought we had a chance against ou.
What he actually did is stunning
    Our future is bright

Great game .. sucks we lost a game that nobody picked us to win anyways except the Burnt Orange Glasses wearing crowd. Such a bright future ahead of this program and I don’t feel it hurts recruiting either. These kids could be the missing pieces and we can sell that. I’m not happy about the loss but excited about the projection. Be mad.. but don’t throw it on the coach or the team. Year 1 .. it’s nothing but uphill from here !

Big picture... we took it to the wire and belonged on the field. We knew we had problems up front. He inherited that mess.

I'm not bothered by Sark at all.

And Caleb is a stud. No doubt about it. He's going to be a problem for at least two more years.

The game was a punch in the gut, no doubt. Texas showed up, but not for the entire game - that's the issue. Coaching, players? I really don't know. Bad calls ( OU receiver running out of bounds in the first quarter and still getting the catch) will happen.

I felt like the aggie on the rollercoaster in the cartoon, except I didn't yell "Furk" when the game was going off the rails. I am not given to profanity, but this time....

Look at it this way, at least Big Tex did not immolate himself this year. Sadly, he may be getting used to the losses. I am not and will not get used to losing.

Only caught bits of the game. Was Rattler just bad? Think he's benched now in favor of Williams?

****** QB + ****** OL + 10 ****** Defensive players = ****** games like this. It’s amazing how bad a 4th year QB and 4 and 5 year Ol can play so bad. Aggy has 2 true freshmen starting on OL. Recruiting matters. Hard to catch up when most of your recruits are prospects.

Face it, it will take years to be competitive. We are Tennessee, Nebraska, etc. Sucks.

Need to bench Christian Jones, Brockmeyer, and Casey and get their backups reos.

According to Riley, he benched Rattler due to his poor play and turnovers.

Rattler was pretty bad. Williams came in and their bench looked instantly juiced. It was a turning point.

Going fwd I'd like to see how effective he is. My guess is he's going to take them to a level rattler didn't and couldn't. Hoping for the opposite. It's ou afterall

Rattler had a couple of turnovers. They brought Caleb in and he busted off a 66 yard TD run. He was big and powerful. It was obvious who should be in there.

Bob Stoops first Red River Rivalry.
OU storms to a first quarter 17-3 lead.
    Sooners are back, baby!
Horns turn things around, come back for a 38-28 win crushing sooner souls.
Stoops and gooners finish season with record of 7-5.
The next season they go 13-0, beating Florida St. to win the MNC.

    Hmmmm....:yes::thumbup:

Stoops first year, he had ZERO WRs. Mike Leach was trying to install his offense with a bunch of converted RBs with stone hands. I told people that day that the next year Stoops would kill us when Leach got WRs. Of course, Leach left for Lubbock, Mangino came in and kicked our ***.

Jesus, with this roster of linemen on both sides of the ball who couldnt knock a drunk ***** off a pisspot..........lets pump the brakes and let this season play out first and then get at least 2 full recruitment cycles before we pass judgement.

Until our OL/DL play is much better we aint going to see a dramatic improvement in overall record.

Well put, but my faith in the DC getting quality DL to sign on the bottom line is limited. If you were a top DL you'd have serious doubts about this staff after watching Saturday. Just as bad was the film vs ark.

Look at what other defenses did vs ou, then look at how we lifted our skirt. It's plain as day our staff had no clue. You can't convince me Tulane, k state etc has more talent on the DL than we do

I bleed Orange, brother. But I'm not blind

With all due respect, 662 yards of total offense means we were never dominating their offense
