Baylor, WVU, and ISU on the road. This team will absolutley lose each and every one of those games. Likely in embarrassing fashion. And KSU is a bugaboo. My prediction then is we end up 5-7 and that is awful. Welcome to a mediocrity nightmare for the foreseeable future. I really thought Sark was the answer, but color me unimpressed.

We can also win all those games. We win this one except for the pick six.

Wait. The pick six with 5:13 left in the first half was the reason we lost? This is the second time I have read something like this.

    :confused2:

On the plus side. Oklahoma looks like it’s freshman QB may win them another Heisman soon.

We are playing for Texas Bowl or another crappy bowl. Hopefully with the bye week, Card takes back over, and we get younger at LB and OL as well.

Yes, 24-3 the game is over. Or you can count the INT on last drive, or the miss on the wide open 3rd and 6 at end of Q3. Or not checking out of the 4th and 1. He might watch a lot of film, but it doesn't matter. You take the shovel pass and lateral plays out of his numbers and it is an abortion.

Yeah and to just think last week was the first time he played any meaningful reps in over 2 years due to losing his senior season to Covid. He's a freaking dude...

Maybe y'all are right. The second half let downs though, who knows...

I felt Texas was dominating the game at that point.

It was a 10-14 point swing play. Incomplete pass and we Could’ve been up 20-3 and their offense was doing nothing. Sanders sucked and we contained the run early. They didn’t score an offensive touchdown till 10 minutes left. It was certainly a game changing play.

I totally get it, guys. It was a huge swing for sure. I just think if Texas was worth a ****, it would have been able to overcome that.

No doubt. But given how little room for error the team seems to have, and the offense falling apart in second half, not loosing momentum and going up 3 scores is big. Casey didn’t seem the same after that. This loss is squarely on the offense and the line in particular. Defense played well relative to other games.

Remember under Mack Brown when Texas could make silly *** mistakes against the likes OSU, pick six included, and still win?

    Me too.

We win this if Sark doesn't go into a shell once again. 4 possessions, 4 runs on 1st down, 4 three and out. First quarter we're throwing on 1st down, but oh no.... get the lead and he's all brakes, no gas. Sure the pick 6 was horrendous. But as a coach you can't always effect everything. But you can control what you call. If I was Del Conte, I'd tell Sark to win the next game or don't bother coming back. You're done. He's cost us the last 2 games going into a shell and leaving our D on the field the entire 2nd half. Time for him to put up or shut up. Right now he's been a failure. Because 2 of those losses are directly on him.

Those were the days. I also remember when we could gain more the ONE YARD in the fourth quarter.

ISU got written off early in the season, but they have a strong case to be ranked again. Their only two losses are by one possession against an Iowa team that's much better than anyone realized at the time (granted, they just lost) and by a failed two-point conversion against a Baylor team that's also better than many realized.

All the reasons that led to ISU's high pre-season ranking: an excellent coach and lots of returning talent that won a lot of games last year, are still valid. Maybe they're not a top 10 team like some thought, but top 25. There's a good chance they'll be ranked when we play them.

Baylor's pretty good. WVU and KSU aren't. We shouldn't need to say anything about KU. I see no one we can't beat, but only one team that can't beat us.

Going into the bye, my prediction for the rest of the season:
    at Baylor: L
at Iowa State: L (4-5 record, low point of the season)
    Kansas: W
    at WVU: W
    K-State
    : W

7-5, 5-4 in conference, probably in 5th place, maybe tied for 4th. We play in a 3rd-tier bowl and steamroll a 3rd-tier opponent to close the season on a four-game winning streak.
Head into 2022 season with a lot of optimism (Bijan for Heisman!) and go 9-3, 3rd in conference, which is improvement, but arguably not enough.

In the unlikely event we run the table and finish 9-3 (7-2 in conference), plus win the bowl game, that means closing the season on a somewhat impressive six-game winning streak and finishing with 10 wins for the second time since 2009. Not that it's likely, but that'd be a better season than many predicted before it began.

We will see… need to go grab every Wisconsin/Alabama/Florida O lineman in the portal. Opening scripts are sexy genius. 2nd half make Greg Davis rofl

Amend his contract—Sark gets a $20,000 bonus for every point we outscore the competition by IN THE SECOND HALF.

Baylor is now looking more than just pretty good. Their O has been on fire, and their D is coming on strong under Aranda. They just defeated nationally ranked BYU today. They’ll probably be ranked when we play them.

Nope, as a fan, I can say what I feel. AD's can't. Doesn't change the fact Sark cost us the last 2 games. All brakes, no gas is never going to win. You'd think he'd learn but alas... so far he hasn't. 3 strikes and you're out is the normal saying. Only way this gets better is if he admits he has a problem. You can't fix what you don't acknowledge as an issue.

Handingoff to Bijan is hardly "going into a shell". People only say that because OSU stopped most of the plays. The one where he went for a touchdown, of course, isn't considered turtling.

Well, you know, people are saying Thompson was playing like crap all game, so the fact we didn't pass more late in the game is a coaching blunder. Handing off to the, before today, best back in the country, was stoooopid.

I actually think that Casey may have been injured in the game (not the thumb) by one of the hits. Maybe slightly concussed. A couple of his passes were uncharacteristic, almost like he wasn’t seeing the entire field.

Additionally, the O-Line was downright terrible today, and as a result he was beaten up. Hard to watch.
