I don't see NU digging out of their ditch any time soon. It's not 1980 anymore. Maybe a year here or there where they overachieve but as a dominant powerhouse? Those days are over

Point # 1 was worded perfectly GV. O line guys standing around after the running back and or quarterback have been deposited into the turf. I SIMPLY CANNOT IMAGINE MYSELF HEARING "T E X A S F I G H T" and whiffing and loafing on blocks??!! I have seen these guys throw themselves OVER the PILE, adding additional weight on top of said QB or RB PUNISHING OUR OWN PLAYER EVEN FURTHER IN AN ATTEMPT TO LOOK LIKE THEY WERE DOING THEIR JOB!!?? WHAT HELL IS THAT??
IT IS THE MAJOR PART OF THE DAMNING SAGA OF OUR ROTTON PLAY THE LAST 10 YEARS.

Just finished watching the Flagship podcast interview with Michael Griffin. I implore all those who haven't to do so. I agree with everything he said 100%.

I brought this up in a previous post.
    No on the field leadership.
    No Sam. No VY.
Why haven't we heard of any team meetings?
Where the older players/leaders of the team try to pull them together.

Hey except for this year, they have pretty much been Northwestern's ***** since joing the league (with two of the Husker wins being hail mary wins in Lincoln). Let that sink in.

I find particular comfort in that knowing that for two generations Devaney and Osborne won with their "partial qualifies", while half of the seniors on the Northwestern roster has already earned their degree from a school that is a non-Ivy Ivy.

    Go Purple. Go White.

Really wish we still had Epps, Green, and Alford. Mitchell maybe. He'd have to play better than he is now. Jackson just depends on how he develops.

I didn’t realize that there were so many. The player I thought would be really good was Epps, but he never seemed to turn the corner in Austin.

Ingram is a better player at USC than he was at Texas from what I have seen, but he would still be behind BR & RJ, and maybe even KR.

Can’t comment about Rising. I just don’t know enough about him as compared to Thompson or Card.

He probably wouldn't even be playing seeing as how Roschon is getting less than 6 touches a game.

The absence of Roschon is mind-boggling given that the use of him a handful of times gave the Horns the same sort of two-headed monster Dallas has going with Elliott and Pollard.

Make no mistake about it. We have had some talented, high upside guys come in here and leave over the last handful of years. We will never know what they would have/could have been had our program been more stable.
We have also lost many highly rated recruits who wanted to come here but couldnt overcome the dysfunction and make the leap.
I would take that group over the former, by the way....if we could have chosen.

I would really love to see a detailed analysis of portal effects and which schools have suffered the most...would be hard to measure but I'd love to see it.

This is correct. And it’s so ridiculous, even Aggy can see it.

Every time I see this thread title I just cringe...and a little voice inside says this is a much bigger problem than who our coach is.
Nearly everyone involved in the program from the top down are aware that this is how a large portion of their "supporters" think.
A true supporter is not someone whose attitude is "These people just exist to give me pleasure, entertainment, and make me happy...They are there for me."
No, on the contrary, if anything, the opposite is true. We are here for them...or should be.

Rising is who i thought could have been a star here. Sam was just the guy for us at the time tho

Try to picture Rising here w/ our O Line right now. Not a fit. Better than Card all around, but it wouldn't matter. Casey is the better fit here for sure

As long as there are OL issues the "need" is for another Vince, Colt, or Sam. QBs who put the team on their back and push through the issues. Casey has not reached that point yet, but he will be "the" QB going into next season with Card portling out.
