Good outing for Colt. He has done quite well filling in as the backup.

McCoy and Jordan Hicks both playing well for Cardinals. With my Bears in the tank I am left cheering for teams with lifetime Longhorns and Arizona and Baltimore are fitting the bill.

Looks like the Heisman voters in 2008 and 2009 didn't have a clue! Very happy for Colt. He's the epitome of a winner!!!!!

Colt played a solid game last night. I like him at QB instead of the OU midget.

Colt has been given a game ball in two of the last three games.

And this is without having DeAndre Hopkins to throw to.

It has been said on many an occasion...Colt may not be flashy, but he manages a hell of a game and generally keeps his team in the mix. I believe the aberration last week was due to the injury that ultimately saw him leave early in the second half. He has had two near-perfect weeks where more than half of the incompletions were drops by the receiver.

He had the almost-pick yesterday, but did anyone notice that he ALSO had the tackle on the pick-that-wasn't that saved a potential touchdown before people realized the pick wasn't a pick? Dude is a gamer...

He saved us from likely being upset by Oklahoma in 2009 with an open field tackle on the DB in the 4th quarter.

And i am absolutely certain he got that from vince young. Vince was a headhunter when someone intercepted his pass. I am sure they talked about it.

Watching Kingsbury talk about Colt and how he wanted him to come in and mentor Murray but also knew he could play and could do exactly what he is doing if Murray had to miss time shows Kliff knows his QB's. As much grief as we give Coach Bro he was always a good qb coach, from Manziel to Mahomes to now Murray. Its nice for him that in the NFL he can hire a real D Coordinator and let him run the defense. It would not break my heart to see the Cardinals make a Super Bowl run and Colt and Jordan Hicks pick up rings.

Getting a Super Bowl ring for Colt could take off a bit of the sting from losing the game to Alabama when he got hurt.

To me, to take the sting off, Colt would need to play in that game, play well, and help his team win it.

Sometimes good guys do finish first. That would be what I would wish for Colt.

Colt could possibly have the opportunity for a NC ring and SB ring. He was a redshirt freshman on our 2005 team. Not sure if RS freshman get rings but if they do then he would be in a non-starter roll on both teams.

I'd say he is doing well...I'm sure he would rather be a starter somewhere, but he has made good bank carrying the clipboard and prepping for the next career as a coach...oh, and occasionally coming in and wearing the cape and an S on his chest...

Man i would love it if he would come here as a QB coach or coordinator or hell head coach. I know he could teach QB and WR fundamentals and TIMING. That would be big for recruits. I wonder if Colt can survive on 6 million a year as a head coach. He could try.:cowrose:

He may or may not know this yet, but at this rate he'll be able to walk and be loaded at the age of 60.

Wish he had bought "Mrs Johnson's" and branched them out into multiple locations around great Austin.

Wow! Mrs. Johnson's! There was nothing better than hitting Mrs. Johnson's in the after midnight hours. Plain donuts early but, if you were a trooper, Cinnamon rolls a little later. They melted in your mouth.

While I have no direct experience in this area, I have been told that they absorbed alcohol better than Moore Burger or Jack in the Box Tacos. Again, I wouldn't know personally.
