USAFA up on UNLV 24-0 at half. My alma mater actually has a pretty decent team this year - and probably leading the nation in rushing yardage.
Such a weird season for Nebraska. 3-9, but 6 of their losses have been well-played tough games against good teams with the final margin 9 points or less. They keep looking like they're right there with the big boys if you just take the one single game into account, but then looking over the whole season, they seem awful.
Heartbreaking ending for Mack. Kicked a 50 yard FG (that cleared the bar by less than a foot) to go up by nine with about 3 minutes to play. Then, Mack's safety blew the coverage and allowed a long NC State TD pass. And to make matters worse, NC State recovered the following onside kick because Mack's players were waiting for the ball (a slow roller) to go 10 yards instead of jumping on it. Then, NC State scored again with just over a minute left to play.
Saw where Washington State fans stormed the UW field post game. Can't imagine that going down in Texas or any SEC school. Crazy!
11/27 Huge day in college football Ohio State at Michigan - the headliner game. Top rivalry game, on par with UT v OU up North. The Bucks offense is phenomenal. MacNamara is a competent bus driver at QB for Michigan, but not much more. DE Hutchinson leads the Michigan D with 10 sacks and over 50 QB pressures. I want Big Blue to win. I wouldn’t lay $ on it though. Texas Tech at Baylor — Despite the talent differential, and questions at QB for Tech, this is not a gimme game for the rapists. NW at Illinois. - Chicagoland vs downstate corn belt. Bielema should pull it out. Indiana at Purdue — Purdue smashes them and hushes the Hoosiers. Cal at UCLA - bears on bears. Look for a physically strong UCLA team to prevail. My Filipino pal in the Bay Area (jokingly, I think…) said the record will be set for the most Asian girls ever at a football game. OU at Okla State - Bedlam. This one sided rivalry will be turned on it’s head as the Mullet and his Pokes knock down the Sooners. Wisconsin at Minnesota - Badgers in a hard fought game Florida State at Florida - I don’t know with these two disappointing teams. Georgia at Georgia Tech - please Wake at BC - Wake gets it back together. Houston at U Conn - cats take dogs. Maryland v Rutgers - who cares Tulsa at SMU - Ponies put it together and roll. High scoring game. Oregon State at Oregon - Ducks have too many horses. Penn State at Michigan State - Spartans bounce back after beating bestowed by Bucks. Va Tech at Virginia Alabama at Auburn - the Iron Bowl isn’t a gimme game at all. WV at KU ND at Stanford - Irish all over the field. Clemson v So Carolina aTm v LSU Pitt v Syracuse - Pitt with ease.
Why is tOSU-Michigan an 11:00 a.m. game? I was under the impression that this was the least-glamorous time slot.
Gonna love that snowfall in the tOSU-Michigan game. That calls for a mug of hot cocoa with a shot of peppermint schnapps.
USAFA finished off UNLV 48-14. USAFA did not attempt a pass during the game. 511 yards rushing on 69 carries. No turnovers. USAFA finishes the year at 9-3. Guess we'll see which bowl game they go to.
Big game for UTSA. They are only a 8 point favorite against North Texas. Next week is the conference championship game. It will be interesting to me to see what bowl they would get with an undefeated season.
I am am Air Force vet, now my son is an AFA fan. He is too old to go to the Academy but we will watch the AFA game.
Snow games are always fun...bookmakers never know what to expect. Making this one more interesting, however, is that the snow was not originally in the forecast for the first half of the game...
Nice red zone D by Michigan. Looks like the Bucks will be held to a FG, and Big Blue will lead at halftime. Yep 14-13 Michigan
Do you see the sort of pressure Hutchinson and the Michigan D front keep on the QB (most of the time)? He rarely has time to sit back and let things develop. That’s the sort of pressure we need from our D front.
Brilliant move by tOSU's Brown: rip the Michigan guy's helmet off in the endzone. Sets Michigan up for a Haskins TD on the next play.
Michigan bringing the wood to the Buckeyes. Playbook for the Wolverines is pretty fun to watch….and effective.
Wow,watching the osu, michigan game. I forgot what it was like to see players play with emotion. UT players need to watch these games and learn something.
I forgot what it was like seeing players make plays on both sides of the ball. That tOSU player's catch was insane.
