Foster never saw the field in the second half against K--State. I'm really disappointed in him and for him.

Yeah, glad Sark and PK benched him after the backup KSU QB ran for 70 yards and he gave zero effort. One of the biggest 5 star busts we've had at Texas.

Nope. Watch Foster get royally toasted on the long QB run. He took a truly craptacular angle and paid the price. Sark yanked him after that, and well he should have. When you play that poorly you ought to ride the pine.

Had K taken similar action against OU, maybe, just maybe we would have had a DL stay at home and prevent OU's last TD. I cringe every time that kid steps onto the field because after a losing season, he still hasn't learned to DO YOUR ASSIGNMENT.

Foster seemed to get worse every year. He was such a thumper early.

I mean, if that was the case, we'd be playing third stringers at every position on D. He was visibly a problem on that play, but I watched Joe Walker let a WR get 15 yards behind him, slow down, turn around, catch a wobbly pass, look at Joe in the eyes, turn back around, and jog to the end zone. And Joe still came to play the next series.

Foster was yanked because of his quitter attitude.

I thought Foster was gonna be our next Vaccarro. He could lay the wood on folks, but man, definitely no Kenny V.

If Foster earned a T ring he will be OK in the long run. Good on him.

Every time somebody posts “Joe Walker” all I can think about is the recruit from Arlington that signed with Baylor. Kid scored less than 600 on his SAT, but after taking the infamous “Chuck Reedy Review Course”, he scored 1300.

NCAA ruled him ineligible.and he wound up starting at Nebraska and then in NFL - Chiefs I believe.

To make things confusing, Texas' version of Joe Walker played about the same time and if I remember correctly, they both returned punts & for their respective teams...

Nope. I have come around to your position. I started watching him more closely and a lot of your criticisms were valid.

Thanks, Sangre. Speaking of validation, his stats of 47 tackles and 3 ints being in top 3 is validation of how bad our defense was in 2021...

Adeoye can't stay healthy enough to keep his cleats on the field. He's had a knee injury and 2 shoulder injuries that sidelined him. His production on the field has fallen off resulting in him being a third stringer at Texas, so if he wants to play, he'll need to portal out to another program. Good luck to him, but I don't expect to see him playing with the pros on Sundays.

If I remember your thread said he avoided contact. He was always willing to hit. I just thought his overall game tailed off last two years. And the half assed effort against K-State was new low. But what do I know, I'm an idiot posting on a message board ;)

I don't post much... Haven't been on this site for long. Normally I don't critique players. Heaven knows most of them do more than I could even think of. I played water polo... Foster always seems like it's one good thing followed by many that leave you shaking your head.

Foster is another cancer removed from the program, he was part of the mutiny. He should have been gone when he quit the team and walked off at half time. He got his degree? Good luck to the employer that hires him.

Foster was great early on. He got beat up, shoulder injuries (due to poor line and linebacker play) and just kind of went downhill after that.

Agree until you speculate on how he would do in the real world. If I were hiring a guy who did well in school, what mattered to me, but then he was also in a D1 sport and his coach said, he wasn’t as sold out for our sport as I wish he had been, but did compete at a high level while also getting the UT degree….

Did you miss the part where Foster walked off the job?
Employees that feel entitled (mutiny) generally feel the company exists for them.
To boss: “I don’t like the way you are treating me and if you can’t improve, I might just give a lesser performance or maybe walk off the job.”
Foster has shown his character, it won’t change on the job.

Who knows? Maybe Foster won’t like the company’s logo because in his uninformed opinion, he feels it is racist.

Like I said, good luck to the employer that hires him.

In that case, the entire defense should’ve rode the pine.

Probably just the DC should ride the pine until he can count up to four DLs. He apparently can only count up to three DLs.

Disagree on some things here. I think Foster showed enough to make me say on the ‘bad’ plays was it coaching, scheme issue, talent, motivation, what exactly I’m not sure. I like the kid and appreciated those good to great plays he made. I think it could easily be an issue of missed assignment on those bad plays due to - technical skill or lack of coaching repetition- I don’t know, but given our history I’m on Fosters side. Now if he had mouthed off about the school or program in general, well that would change everything imo.

Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

Quitting on a play and allowing a touchdown has nothing to do with technique or coaching.

He quit during halftime of a game because he was being "coached hard", he quit on that play and arguably many others with a lack of effort and now he quit again. Time for him to go.

Quit, or was benched? Or are you talking about different games?
