I noticed they have Baylor@Texas not indicating the 2-1 agreement we have with Baylor. I'm sure it'll be clarified when each team's schedule comes out.

I'm glad Texas is at OSU. I think I would spend half my time booing and half my time cheering the same OSU player. Conflicted.

I guess it’s nice to get a week off before OU (but there may be some non-conference). And to catch OU on the back end of two consecutive road series.

Alabama, Louisiana, LSU, ASU, Florida state, UCLA!! Then you have Notre Dame and Auburn who received votes in the final ranking. Mike white is going all in on this schedule and I love it. The Dolcini pickup is becoming that much better.

Shocked, totally shocked that per the schedule LHN is broadcasting games from Florida! To my knowledge LHN has never left the confines of Austin to broadcast a game. Guess they are getting ready for the move to the SEC? Maybe?

I really hope we keep LHN and they go with us to the SEC but this traveling thing is new and very curious to see how this works out

Nothing to do with the SEC. These are all neutral site games, and not on any campus location. I do recall LHN airing Texas volleyball at LSU and at Baylor way back in the early years.

ESPN will already have their TV crews out there televising many of the games on their different platforms. It's just a matter of changing to the LHN TV microphones.

So, don't get your hopes up that we will still have the LHN in the SEC; they'll probably keep the Austin-based studio, but it will just roll into the SEC Network, IMO.

Add Minnesota to the schedule. They will come down and play Texas March 11-12 in the “UT tournament”.

I look at all the tournaments away and home and think, WOW that's great! Then I look at our home Big12 schedule and think, wow that's lame. In the SEC we'll have better home options.

I do like the tournament and non conference away schedule. Two great tournaments in Florida, a two game set in Tuscaloosa and away in Lafayette, Denton and San Marcos! Sure hope we get tv coverage!!!! Would love to make one of the Florida tournament trips!

Can't remember the last time Texas didn't open at home to start the season. Perhaps last year's unusually cold weather had Coach White re-think things. Starting out with Clemson (ACC champs and a Top 16 seed last season) will be a solid opening opponent.; still, wish we'd have had a warm-up type game to shake off the jitters.

I'm surprised with the weather cancellation last February that we didn't find a way to re-schedule Alabama and/or Arizona at home. Perhaps that's just the way it goes and our "return" trip to Alabama goes on as scheduled for 2022.

A few months ago, when the news of the new OU stadium funding came out, I wrote a letter to CDC asking if McCombs would get a facelift or a replacement because of the view of some that when Texas moves to the SEC, McCombs would rank in the bottom third of the conference in terms of quality of venue.

To his credit, CDC called me, leaving voicemail, and thanked me for the email and said cryptically that things will be considered.

Today at the WBB game, I was doing my walk around Erwin during halftime and out pops CDC from one of the gates. I stopped him and this is how the conversation went roughly:

"Hey, are we going to get a new stadium for softball?'

Well, I got them a new surface

"Yeah, but what about a replacement stadium?"

Well, yes. But I have to build a new indoor practice facility (football) and that's next Spring. And I'm not sure right now where a new stadium would go

"Oh, so is married student housing back on?"

Oh yeah. It's back on. We have to get that going so we can move them off Lake Austin. That's very valuable land

"Oh. Yes, I understand. So, new stadium in 10 years?"

    No. No. Not that long

    "New stadium in 5 years?"

No. Sooner than that. I think maybe 1 or 2 years into the SEC might be when

She certainly looks like a good get. Beat Miranda 2 years ago. Only gave up 1 run to Texas.

We added another transfer in Bella Dayton from Arizona originally from Dallas area. Slapper/hitter and will compete for the CF spot.

Interesting. Google search tells me that she was originally committed to Ole Miss to the coach who was later forced out due to a disagreement with a player and the admin. Then, I guess she switched to Arizona and now Texas? Ahhh, but further digging shows that Arizona itself changed coaches from Mike Candrea to Caitlin Lowe. I guess fall ball with AZ showed her she needed to move on.

GOAZCATS - Arizona softball outfielder Bella Dayton enters the transfer portal

"The loss of Dayton might not be as big of a blow as some people may think. During the team's Fall Classic games, outfielder Jasmine Perezchica and freshman Paige Dimler saw substantial time in the outfield and started the majority of those games."

She was committed to ole miss really young, possibly 8th grade. Athletic OF with speed, can't have too many of those.

I wonder if we're losing someone at mid term?

Most likely. We're not picking up an outfielder without Mike White knowing that someone is leaving or has been told their playing future is limited.

Wow! I count 24 now on the roster with the addition of Hailey Dolcini, Bella Dayton and now Lou Gilbert! Getting much playing time will be hard to come by for quite a few.
