Back to the game, I would have gone for 2 at 44. Wouldn't have changed anything but no way Utah wins that game in OT anyways. Their best bet was to go for 2, try and get up, and play more press coverage and hope for the best. Prevent guaranteed tOSU won. Probably win regardless, but take your best shot. You can't play a guy 30 yds off coverage protecting the deep ball and allow easy throws down the field for an easy FG. Gave his team next to zero chance to win.

After watching today's games I find it hard not to hope for a eight team playoff. It would generate a lot of excitment and I find it hard to imagine Alabama and Georgia would simply wade through these guys. Today was one of the most entertaining days of football in my life.

Good point, but the probability that he would go the distance was low. I agree that him running it back was higher that one of his team mates, but having two maybe three throws down field seems more attractive.
