I think while you were away it was determined that the state lines are somewhat irrelvant as the communities coalesce to some extent. Think El Paso/Juarez. Also, he was there to protect property and provide medical aid. Much like the guy who had a pistol out who was an EMT responding to "shots fired". Ironically, if that guy had shot KR first, he'd be Antifa warrior turned conservative hero speaking at CPAC.

The "crossing state lines" was brought up because of the common legal consequences that can sometimes get layered on. Carry a gun from an open carry start to a non-open carry state is another example. Regardless, KR traveled 20+ miles and 30 minutes to get in the middle of the fracas. He claimed in the trial he was invited to the car lot, the owners disputed that anyone was invited to protect the lot which had all their vehicles removed. Provide medical aid? He was as much an EMT as he was a policeman. A 17yr old dressing up for Cosplay in real-world danger situation is dumb. It's bordering on child endangerment that his parents allowed him to be there. Kudos to him for cleaning up graffiti the day before. That's the only thing he should be lauded for.

When you only have "yes" men/women in your life mean old Steve Inskeep from NPR gets you so fired up that you hang up on him. What a snowflake.

He states obvious mistruths, if you're more comfortable with that phrasing. Like "more people voted _______ than were registered". Then, it turns out that is not actually, you know, true. It's one thing to do it once and then say (even if you're only saying it in your inner ******* monologue), "oops, that's not true" and then you don't say it anymore. Hell, we've all done that here. At least I know I have. He still regurgitates obvious "verifiably false statements" (lies). He either has dimensia or he's a liar. I will accept both.

Having lived with a man who died of dementia last May, I can tell you Joe Biden displays significant signs of being in stage 2 or so of the disease. Trump does not.

That's a ******** attempt to rewrite history. I'd wager few of the 1/6 Capitol Hill insurrectionists could define "ballot harvesting". The more rational of the extremists, like @mchammer, want to redefine "stolen election" as ballot harvesting. My guess is he knows how dumb the voting systems were hacked arguments. So, the smarter extremists have pivoted to this idea that ballot harvesting flipped the vote even though this is the easiest voter fraud to catch because too many voters have to participate in the fraud.

"Ballot Harvesting" didn't become a significant talking point until after 1/6. It's at least a valid fraud that has been documented from time to time. Usually it's documented with the perpetrator standing trial and ending up in jail. Now, could ballot harvesting have swung enough votes to make a difference in enough states for Trump to win and was it only Democrats conducting this dastardly deed? Very unlikely as in you'd be a Powerball winner before this occurred.

I guess you missed the busy discussion on the board about Project Veritas ' video on the subject before the 2020 election. Oh well

Drop boxes equal "ballot harvesting"? I may have given you too much credit.

Yep, I missed it because I generally try to avoid the grifters. James O'Keefe takes nearly ~$400k a year salary as a "non-profit" masquerading as some political version of TMZ. No thank you. Project Veritas is entertainment similar to (Impractical) Jokers or Punk'd but with a political twist. He has backing by Donors Trust (a Koch brother political fund) happy to contribute in hopes of landing a virtual punch against their ideological opponent.

I never pivoted. I will post my emails after the election. Whereas harvesting can be more less equal in most years, it was not in 2020. Dems beat us in the harvesting game in 2020, pure and simple.

Just so we can start somewhere with a definition:

"Ballot collecting is the gathering and submitting of completed absentee or mail-in voter ballots by third-party individuals, volunteers or workers, rather than submission by voters themselves directly to ballot collection sites.[1][2][3] It occurs in some areas of the U.S. where voting by mail is common, but some other states have laws restricting it.[1] Proponents of ballot collection promote it as enfranchising those who live in remote areas or lack ready access to transportation, are incapacitated or in hospital or jail. Critics of ballot collection highlight the possibility of increasing the potential for vote misappropriation or fraud."

Why do Liberals like this so much? It's not because they care about the sanctity of Democracy. There's no way they do. They've proven their cynicism many times over. That is why there is so much suspicion surrounding their motives.

People on all sides will chisel on corners to gain an advantage. To imply that only Democrats have taken advantage of ballot harvesting is naive. Read up on Bladen County NC. They had a whole new election due to ballot harvesting fraudulently. Spoiler alert, it may not be the evil Dems that you always seem to blame.

Sometimes you're more cynical than the few people that I've put on ignore.

I understand that Republicans make things more difficult than not to vote. We were discussing ballot harvesting so I posted what I posted.

The sanctimony of the Left makes me want to vomit. So I guess that means I'm cynical. I just don't believe in them at all.

How do they keep us from voting more than once? What is the process? I assume part of the process includes some sort of list of eligible voters who are then crossed off (digitally) when that person votes. But how do they verify it's that person?

This editorial pokes quite a few holes in the Dem arguments:
