Gary Cooper played Sgt. York in a great movie about York’s life. :hookem2:

If Perkins signs, we will regret that day.

I envision this kid being given the Bo Davis speech early upon landing at Texas and subsequently portaling to the next school in route to a series of four schools and in five years will be the subject of a post that start…”Anyone know what ever happened to …”

    -“What’s their main (TAMU)message to you? “
-Perk “My main message to them is….”
    WTH???
About NIL at Texas…. “They gonna use me. I gotta get it back” WTH part 2.
You feel ‘they gonna USE you’ BS a lot of people are going to invest a lot of time on you to make you better, athletically, socially and physically.

Not a thought about proving himself or being a teammate. I can’t think of another player except Perriloux that was this arrogant, self centered and out of touch with reality that he is going to have to prove himself against better athletes.
I truly feel for this kid, but UT just drained the swamp. Let’s not muddy the water.
He’s a good OU type player, maybe the U… not Texas.

I thought Perkins was locked into aTm after he committed.

I just looked at Rivals and he has not signed yet.

He committed to making an announcement at the all American bowl. He had to chose someone - apparently aggy was the most convenient one.

Hammer, you have been on this one so far.
I thought it was a done deal but I thought Neyor was also to TN.

I know I am older than dirt and easily confused, but I thought that Campbell was secretly signed and waiting for some event to make it public.

Like a flock of turkeys. You start at the back one by one and you get them all while the leader never knew it was coming.

That's a "rough" quote from him.

After reading Perkin’s quotes I’m not nearly as high on him. I’d love to get the TCU DE transfer, though.

What am I missing here? Florida State has one, 4 star transfer and they're ranked ahead of Texas with three transfers but one of the is a 5 star? Not to mention LSU at #1 with three, 3 star transfers...

Yes, but who is filling up his head with this aggressive view of his services?

The thing is, the OU LB who committed to us then went back to OU acted like NIL talk was not cool. He wanted more family talk.

You can't win. You just tell them what we can do for them and how they can help us. After that you just hope he doesn't make decisions based upon hype, a handler's personal needs or outright lies.

People don’t think Campbell signed. He is waiting for the traditional signing day to announce.

Calvin Anderson was a HUGE get, probably more important than anyone we have gotten this year unless Ewers turns out to be the next John Elway. Anderson walked in and immediately became our starting LT, and a very solid one, when we had no one else even close to serviceable. I wish we had a Calvin Anderson or two coming in right for 2022.

Larry Turner-Gooden was the secret signature and wait for the all-star game, not Campbell. There were articles written about both of them as "probables" and alluding to the fact one was a secret sign, but they were a little confusing about who was who, but it was LTG all along.

In fact, I am going to go way out on a limb and say that if we had Calvin Anderson this last season and Okafor had not gone down to injury against TCU, Casey Thompson could still be our starting QB, if he could have beaten out Hudson Card who lost the job after the Hogs game. The Thompson/Card battle could have gone either way as Card generally needed a little more time in the pocket than Thompson. RE: the Arkansas game, our LT Christian Jones was completely owned by the Hog edge rushers so having Anderson would have made a huge difference at that position. However, most of the rest of OL was beaten badly all game, as well, so who knows how it would have all played out. But who knows, maybe Card could have held on as even losing respectably to Arky, if Card kept it then had he would have had Rice, Tech and TCU to build confidence and experience. day-dreamin'

You must be relative of Calvin Anderson. I had high hopes when he signed as well but I just didnt see the bonus. Was he a body to fill in the left yes but a difference maker he was not. We need a LT for sure because jones was just horrible last year. He got beat like a drum, game after game. Lets hope another year and some monster OL recruits can help fill that void.

Calvin Anderson was very solid. Next year's transfer from GaTech was a significant disappointment.

#Alabama linebacker Jaylen Moody will likely remove his name from the transfer portal and remain with the Crimson Tide, per BOL sources. https://247sports.com/college/alabama/board/116/Contents/-nugget-on-alabama-linebacker-in-the-transfer-portal-181075967/…

Well, I suppose everybody has a different definition of good. I just rechecked Anderson’s stats and in the 14 games he started for UT, he didn’t give up a sack. LT is one of those positions you only notice when they screw up. We rarely noticed him. Compared to your description of t his year’s LT, I would say Anderson was a difference maker. He then went on and hooked up with a team in the NFL. As stated before, I wish we had him now.
